In this article, you will learn how to customize the appearance of your ActiveCampaign account.

Access Appearance settings in your ActiveCampaign account
The Appearance page contains settings that you can use to customize the look of your ActiveCampaign account. To access this page:
- Click Settings (gear icon) on the bottom right of your ActiveCampaign account.
- Click Appearance on the left menu.
Customization options
In the "Admin Panel" section of the Appearance Settings page, you can:
- Update your site name
- Upload your logos
- Switch ActiveCampaign branding off
- Customize your template, public site, and email headers and footers
Update your "Site name"
Available on all plans.
Your site name appears on some default and notification emails. It is also used as the title of your application, which you can see in your browser's tab, next to the favicon:
Updating your site name is not the same as changing your account name.
To update your site name, type the new name into the "Site Name" field provided, then click the "Save" button.
Upload your logos
Available on all plans.
In this section, you can switch out ActiveCampaign logos with your own to match your company branding, including the Login page, Sidebar, and Favicon logos. To do so:
- Upload the logo file to ActiveCampaign's image manager or to a hosting platform.
- Copy the image's URL and paste it into the field provided.
- Click the "Save" button.
Repeat the steps above for each logo you want to replace
Turn off ActiveCampaign branding for your account
Available on Plus, Professional, and Enterprise plans.
You can turn off ActiveCampaign branding on an account level. To do so:
- Click the "ActiveCampaign Branding" toggle to set it to the "Off" position.
- An "In-app Chat" toggle will appear. This toggle refers to the chat function you can use to contact our Customer Experience team. To keep it visible for yourself and other users, click the toggle to set it to the "On" position.
Once branding is turned off, all mentions of ActiveCampaign will be hidden, including (non-exhaustive list):
- Text
- Links
- ActiveCampaign forms
- The Apps page
- The Help bubble. This is used to contact our Customer Experience team and view your Help tickets in your account (See instructions above to unhide the "In-app Chat" toggle)
- The ActiveCampaign Referral Program ("Ambassador Program")
- Any apps that show the ActiveCampaign name or logo
- Most integrations will be unavailable
Customize Template
Available on all plans.
The Customize Template section lets you add, remove, or reorder elements in your page layout. This includes:
- Page content
- Header navigation
- Footer
- Site name
- Site URL
To update the layout of your admin panel, click into the "Customize Template" box and place your cursor in the area where you wish to add an item to the admin panel. Next, click the "Insert Tag" dropdown and click the option you wish to add. When finished, click the "Save" button.
To restore default settings, click "Reset to default."
Customize CSS
Available on all plans.
The Customize CSS option lets you modify the underlying CSS of your ActiveCampaign account. This, along with customizing the admin panel layout, will change how your ActiveCampaign account will appear when you're logged into it.
The following elements can be modified with custom CSS:
- Background color
- Border
- Font family
- Font style
- Font weight
To customize the CSS, click the "Insert Property" dropdown and select the item you wish to modify. Then, in the Customize CSS box, type your CSS code. When finished, click "Save."
If you need to clear the styles you added, click "Clear Styles."
Public site
Available on all plans.
You can modify the template and CSS for your public site. These changes will be reflected on pages where contacts can perform actions or show subscription updates. These pages include:
- Unsubscribes
- Subscription updates
- Forward to a friend
- Campaign Archive
To further customize these pages, for example, to update a description, button text, or add an image, go to Contacts > Lists, then click the down caret for the list for which you wish to update a public page. Click "Advanced Settings," then click "Public Pages." From there, you can make further updates to these pages.
Customize template
Available on all plans.
The Customize Template area lets you add, remove, or reorder the following elements on your public pages:
- Page content
- Header navigation
- Footer
- Site name
- Site URL
To update the layout of your public pages, click into the "Customize Template" box and place your cursor in the area where you wish to add or remove an item to your public pages. Next, click the "Insert Tag" dropdown and click the option you want to add. When finished, click the "Save" button.
To restore default settings, click "Reset to default."
Customize CSS
Available on all plans.
The Customize CSS area lets you modify the style of your public pages. For example, you can modify the following:
- Background color
- Border
- Font family
- Font style
- Font weight
To customize the CSS, click the "Insert Property" dropdown and select the item you wish to modify. Then in the Customize CSS box, type your CSS code. When finished, click "Save."
If you need to clear the styles you added, click "Clear Styles."
Customize email headers and footers
Available on all plans.
Headers and footers are non-removable pieces of content you create and are applied to every HTML and plain-text email (campaigns and automation emails). These pieces of content are mainly used for branding purposes and are visible to your contacts.
