How SMS numbers are chosen

Applies to Plus, Professional, and Enterprise accounts only. Accounts on the Lite plan do not include SMS sending.

Contacts located in any country can receive SMS messages from our platform. We have a variety of phone numbers for different countries that can be used to send your SMS messages. Those countries are:

  • Australia
  • Canada
  • Germany
  • Mexico
  • Spain
  • United Kingdom
  • United States

How it works

When a contact from any of the countries listed above enters your automation and hits your “Send SMS” action, our SMS provider will find a “from” number that matches your contact’s country and that same number will be used to distribute your message. If your contact is not located in any of the countries listed above, a phone number from the United States will be used to distribute your message.

The “from” phone numbers are chosen by our SMS provider and will vary.

Note: Only accounts on the Enterprise plan are eligible to use a custom phone number for sending SMS messages from automations. This request can be made through your Customer Success Manager. If you are on an Enterprise plan and are not sure who your Customer Success Manager is, please reach out to our support team for further assistance.
