Round robin evenly assigns deals to deal owners in your account. Round robin is enabled in your pipeline settings.

How Round Robin works

Round Robin Deal assignment looks to maintain an even number of deals between users based on your choice of Assignment Methods options below:

  • Round Robin
Looks at the date the last deal was assigned to each user in the Round Robin group, then assigns the deal to the user with the oldest date to try and keep the deal distribution even.

When a new user is added, the last deal date will be updated to the date they were added, and they will be at the end of the rotation. They will not get a deal until all others in the group are assigned a deal.

Note that manually creating and assigning a deal does not affect the last deal date. The deal must be assigned via Round Robin for the last deal date to be updated.
  • Round Robin Deal Value
Looks at the sum of the deal values assigned to each user to try and keep them the same.

Round Robin Deal Value will not evenly assign deals unless the users selected in the Users Dropdown have the same deal value assigned to them.

Note that Round Robin Deal Value looks for the total deal value assigned to a user regardless of deal status. It does not take into account the number of assigned deals in the specific pipeline or deals that have been won, lost, or deleted.
