To integrate Leadpages with ActiveCampaign, you’ll need to have a Leadpages account and an ActiveCampaign account.
There are two different ways to integrate your ActiveCampaign form with Leadpages:
- Send your leads to ActiveCampaign when they submit their information on a Leadpage or Leadbox.
- Paste your ActiveCampaign form code into your Leadpage or Leadbox.
Sending your leads into ActiveCampaign
This integration is enabled by Leadpages. It sends leads to an ActiveCampaign form and will adopt your ActiveCampaign form settings (list subscribe, add a tag, enable single opt-in, etc). You can think of this as masking your ActiveCampaign form with a Leadpages design. You can select which fields from your form will appear on your Leadpage and you can make them hidden if you so choose.
Then, when a lead submits their information to your Leadpage or Leadbox, they will appear in ActiveCampaign as having submitted an ActiveCampaign form.
Pros:
- Can use Leadpages analytics
- Can use the ActiveCampaign Submits a Form automation trigger
Cons:
- Cannot add a tracking cookie to contacts for ActiveCampaign site tracking
To set up this integration, follow the steps below:
- Create a form in ActiveCampaign and add your desired fields to it. You can only select fields from your ActiveCampaign form to add to your Leadpage.
- Integrate the two platforms in two different places within Leadpages. Please see this guide from Leadpages for more information regarding this step. Retrieve your ActiveCampaign API information to add to Leadpages.
- Once you have added your ActiveCampaign API information to Leadpages, navigate to your Leadpage or Leadbox and click on the call to action to edit the form settings.
- On the integrations tab, click “Add an integration” under “Choose where you want the form data to go.” Select “ActiveCampaign” from the menu. Then click “Next - Fields.”
- Click “Add a field” to add fields from your ActiveCampaign form to your Leadpage. Then click “Done.”
- Click “Update” on the top right of your screen.
Your ActiveCampaign form is now integrated with your Leadpage.
Paste your ActiveCampaign form code into your Leadpage
With this option, you will first need to create an ActiveCampaign form, making sure to add your desired fields and form actions. You’ll then want to copy the simple embed code we generate and paste it into an html box that you can drag into your Leadpage or Leadbox. Because you are pasting ActiveCampaign form code into your Leadpage, you will not be able to leverage Leadpages' form design or make fields in Leadpages hidden. You’ll need to style your form in ActiveCampaign and add hidden fields to your form in ActiveCampaign.
Then, when a lead submits their information to your Leadpage or Leadbox, they will appear in ActiveCampaign as having submitted an ActiveCampaign form.
You do not need to add your ActiveCampaign API information to Leadpages in order for this setup to work.
Pros:
- Can use ActiveCampaign Submits a Form automation trigger
- Can use ActiveCampaign site tracking
Cons:
- Cannot use Leadpages analytics
To set up this integration, follow the steps below:
- Create a form in ActiveCampaign containing the fields you wish to request.
- Click the “Integrate” tab to grab the form code.
- Hover your mouse over the simple embed code and copy it.
- In a new tab or window, log into your Leadpages account and go to the Leadpage or Leadbox you wish to add a form to. If you have not yet created a Leadpage or Leadbox, click here to learn how to add one.
- Click on the area where you want your form to appear. Then drag and drop the HTML widget to where you want your form to display.
- Paste the form code you copied in step 3 above into the HTML block and click “Save.”
Your Leadpage now reflects your ActiveCampaign form.
