When it comes to automation permissions, users can only see automations created within their specific user group.
For example, a user in the Sales group can only see automations that were created by other users in the Sales group. Another user group (eg, Marketing) would not be able to see any automations created by a user in the Sales group.
Users in the Admin group can only see automations that were created by other users in the Admin group, including the main account admin. They cannot see automations created by the Marketing or Sales user groups.
The main account admin can see all automations created within the account. Users in all groups (except the Admin group) will not be able to see any automations that the main account admin creates.
Account admins have the option to grant a specific user group access to the Automations overview page. It is not possible to limit the Automations overview page by specific users—only user groups. In addition, automation permissions are turned off by default for each user group you create. In order for a user group to create and edit automations, you will need to grant them access to that page.
To get started:
- Click your Avatar.
- Click My Settings.
- Click "Users" located on the left side menu.
- Click the "Groups" tab.
- Click "Edit" for the group you wish to set automation permissions for.
- Click the "Permissions" tab.
- Locate "Automations" and click the down caret.
- Click the "Check All" checkbox to allow permissions.
- Click the "Save" button.
