Reset your forgotten password
If you have forgotten the password for your ActiveCampaign account, you can reset it by following the steps outlined below.
Reset your password from ActiveCampaign.com
- Go to ActiveCampaign.com
- Click the “Log in” button in the upper right corner of the page.
- Enter your account name in the “Account Name” field, then click the “Login” button.
- You will be redirected to your ActiveCampaign account’s login page. Click the "Forgot?" link in the password field.
- Type your login email address, then click "Submit."
- A confirmation message will appear on your screen. Go to your email inbox and locate the email with the subject line "ActiveCampaign password reset instructions." Make sure to check your spam folder.
- Click the "Update Password Now" button in the email. You will be redirected to your Account Login page.
- Type your new password, then click the "Submit" button.
Reset your password from your ActiveCampaign account’s login page
- Go to your ActiveCampaign account login page. The URL will look similar to: myaccount.activehosted.com.
- Click the "Forgot?" link in the password field.
- Type your login email address, then click "Submit."
- A confirmation message will appear on your screen. Go to your email inbox and locate the email with the subject line "ActiveCampaign password reset instructions." Make sure to check your spam folder.
- Click the "Update Password Now" button in the email. You will be redirected to your Account Login page.
- Type your new password, then click the "Submit" button.
Make sure that the correct email address is being used when entering your login email address. The email address you use to log in to your account may be different than the email address you use to receive notifications from us.
Note that your new password must be a minimum of 8 characters and cannot be a password that appears on the list of 10,000 most commonly used passwords. This list originates from the Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP).
After clicking the "Submit" button, you will be logged back into your account.
Change your password when logged into your ActiveCampaign account
- Click Settings on the left menu.
- Scroll down the "Account Settings" page and enter your new password in both password fields, then click the "Save Settings" button.
- A modal will pop up where you must enter your current password to continue. Type your current password and click the “Save Settings” button.
Your new account password is now saved.

Update another user's password
If you are an Account Admin, you can reset another user's password.
- Click Settings on the left menu.
- Click the "Users and Groups" tab.
- Locate the account user and click the "Edit" button.
- A modal window will open. Click the "Change Password" link.
- Another modal window will open. Type your password into the first password field. Then, type the new password for the user into the second password field.
- When finished, click the "Save" button.
Share the new password with the account user.
