Use labels to keep your forms organized. You can use labels to group forms (and other assets) together by keyword, topic, audience, purpose, and more. Once you add a label to a form, you can filter the Forms overview page by that label to quickly find what you need.
While similar to folders, labels offer more flexibility as you can assign more than one label to a form.
In this article, you’ll learn how to create, apply, edit, remove, and delete labels from the Forms overview page.
Take note
- Forms, automations, and campaigns share the same labels. Any labels created on the Forms page will appear in the Label
Manager and can be used with automations and campaigns - Edits made to labels on the Forms page are applied globally to your account
- Labels deleted from the Forms page are permanently deleted from your account and will be removed from all assets (campaigns, automations, and forms)
Create a new label from the Forms overview page
You can create a new label for one or multiple forms simultaneously.
Create a new label for a single form:
- Click Website > Forms on the left menu.
- Locate the form that should receive a net new label, then click “Add label +.”
- A small modal window will appear. Click the “Create label” button.
- A modal window will appear where you can create a new label:
- Enter the label name into the field provided
- Select a color
- Click the “Create” button
The new label will appear below the form name. In addition, this label will be added to the Label Manager and can be applied to any automation or campaign of your choice.
Create a new label for multiple forms:
- Click Website > Forms on the left menu.
- Click the checkbox next to each form that should receive a new label.
- Click the “Add or remove labels” dropdown that appears.
- Click the “Create label” button.
- A modal window will appear where you can create a new label:
- Enter the label name into the field provided
- Select a color
- Click the “Create” button
The new label will be applied to selected forms. It wil appear under each form name and status.
In addition, this label will be added to the Label Manager and can be applied to any automation or campaign of your choice.
Apply an existing label
You can apply an existing label to one or multiple forms simultaneously.
Apply an existing label to a single form:
- Click Website > Forms on the left menu.
- Locate the forms that should receive a label, then click “Add label +.”
- A small modal window will appear. Scroll through the list of labels.
- When you find the one you want to use, click it to select it.
The label will be applied to the form.
Apply an existing label to multiple forms at the same time:
- Click Website > Forms on the left menu.
- Click the checkbox next to each form that should receive a label.
- Click the “Add or remove labels” dropdown that appears.
- Scroll through the list of labels.
- When you find the one you want to use, click it to select it. Note that you can select more than one label in this step.
The label will be applied to the selected forms.
Edit a label
Once the edit is complete, it is applied globally to your account, including the Label Manager.
- Click Website > Forms on the left menu.
- From the list of forms, locate and click the label you want to edit.
- A modal window will appear. Type the updated name and/or select a different color for the label.
- Click the “Save” button.
Remove a label
You can remove a label from a single or multiple forms simultaneously. Removing a label removes it from the selected form(s). It does not permanently delete it from your account.
Remove a label from a single form:
- Click Website > Forms on the left menu.
- Locate the form from which you want to remove a label.
- Click the “X” next to the label name to remove it from the form.
Remove a label from multiple forms at the same time:
- Click Website > Forms on the left menu.
- Click the checkbox next to each form from which you want to remove the label.
- Click the “Add/remove labels” button that appears.
- Scroll through the list of labels until you see the one you want to remove. It will have a checkmark next to its name.
- Uncheck the box next to the label you want to remove. Note that you can remove multiple labels from the selected forms in this step.
Delete a label
Once you delete a label, it is removed from all assets (campaigns, forms, and automations) and permanently deleted from your ActiveCampaign account.
- Click Website > Forms on the left menu.
- Locate and click the label you want to delete from your account.
- A modal window will appear. Click the “Delete” option.
Filter forms by label
Any labels you create will appear alphabetically in the "Label" dropdown menu.
To filter forms by label, click the "Label" dropdown, then click the label you want to filter.
Note that only one label can be selected for the filter. The page will reload and display all forms with that label.
