Accounts that are canceled or expired become archived. Agency or Reseller Partners can unarchive child accounts in the Partner Portal depending on how long the child account has been archived.

This article documents how Agency or Reseller Partners can unarchive child accounts. If you have a direct account, or an account created directly with ActiveCampaign, learn how to unarchive a direct account.

Take note

Accounts managed by Agency or Reseller Partners are managed through the Partner Portal by the Partner

Paid accounts archived for less than one year

  1. Log into your Partner Portal.
  2. Click on "Renew" next to the account you’d like to unarchive.
  3. On the "Change Your Account" page, choose a plan by selecting a “Product,” “Tier,” and any “Add-Ons.”
  4. Click “Submit” Once you click “Submit,” the partner is charged for the account, and the unarchive process begins. The Partner, not the admin user on the account, will receive the following emails:
    • Receipt of payment
    • Confirmation email once the account is unarchived and ready to be accessed

No emails will be sent to the admin user on the account.

Trial child accounts archived for less than one year

Agency or Reseller Partners will still be able to give their prospects one additional free renewal for trial accounts (2 weeks). After that renewal is used, then the new flow outline above (link to section above) will kick in.

Trial child and paid child accounts archived for more than one year

Accounts that have been archived for more than one year do not have any data in them. We only retain data for a year. You cannot unarchive accounts that have been archived for more than one year. You must create a new account for your customers.

Agency or Reseller Partners will see a message in the Partner Portal letting you know the account is archived and cannot be renewed.
