Pause billing for your ActiveCampaign account

If you have a paid monthly plan and don’t need to use your ActiveCampaign account, you can pause billing for your plan. Pausing your plan means that you will not be billed during this period, and you will not be able to access your account.

Take note

  • Only the Primary Admin can pause the ActiveCampaign account
  • The Pause option applies to monthly plans only
  • Pauses will begin at the end of your current billing term
  • You can pause your account for a maximum of 3 months
  • It’s not possible to access your account during the pause period
  • You can pause your account once every 12 months
  • It is not possible to pause Trial, Resold, or Commit Annually Pay Monthly accounts
  • Updating your billing information during the pause period will reactivate your account

Pause billing for your ActiveCampaign account

If you are the Primary Admin on your account, you can pause your account from the Billing & Upgrade page.

  1. Click your profile > Billing & Upgrade.
  2. Click the "Edit payment method" option on the right side of the page.
  3. An "Edit payment method" modal will appear. Select the "Cancel my account" option in the lower-left corner of the modal.
  4. Proceed through each screen. Depending on your plan, you can either:
    • Select the duration of the pause > Select the reason for the pause > Click the "Pause account" button - OR -
    • Click the “Pause your subscription for up to 3 months” button > Select the duration of the pause > Select the reason for the pause > Click the “Pause account” button

Your account is now paused for the duration you selected. Please note that once you have paused your account for any duration, the pause cannot be extended for any additional amount of time.

  Your account will reactivate as soon as the pause ends. Monthly payments will resume, and your card on file will be charged. You cannot cancel your account during the pause period.

Reactivate your ActiveCampaign account

You can reactivate your account before your pause period ends. To do so:

  1. Log into your ActiveCampaign account.
  2. Click your profile > Billing & Upgrade.
  3. Click the “Unpause account” button.

You can now access your restored account. Please remember that you cannot pause your account for another 12 months.
