Folders brings your email campaigns, SMS campaigns, automations, and forms together in one place. You can open a folder to see its assets, add existing assets, and manage folder details. Use folders to group work for a launch, audience, or marketing goal.

Take note

Before you begin, keep these details in mind:

  • The asset types you can use depend on your account's plan and add-ons
  • Edits to a folder apply across your account
  • Deleting a folder removes its connections to assets, but does not delete the assets
  • Adding a conversion turns a folder into a business goal
  • An automation can belong to only one business goal

Open the Folders page

Open Folders to browse your folders and their assets.

  1. Click Business Goals on the left menu.
  2. Click Folders in the Business Goals menu.

Each folder card shows its name and an asset count. Cards can also show a description. A trophy icon identifies a business goal.

Click a folder card to see its assets. Click an asset card to open that asset. To return to the folder grid, click All folders.

Find folders and assets

Use the controls above the folder grid to narrow the results:

  • Folder or Business Goal: Choose a folder or goal to show its card
  • Type: Choose Campaign, SMS campaign, Automation, or Form to show folders with that type of asset
  • Search assets: Enter an asset name to find folders that contain matching assets

You can combine these controls. Asset counts on the folder cards reflect the selected type or search results.

Inside an open folder, use Type and Search assets to narrow its contents. Enter at least three characters to search asset names. The folder selector is hidden while a folder is open.

The page saves your filter choices in its URL. You can bookmark that URL to return to the filtered view.

Create a folder

Create a folder to group related work.

  1. On the Folders page, click Create folder.
  2. Enter a name in Folder Name.
  3. To add context, enter up to 500 characters in Description.
  4. Choose a Folder Color.
  5. Click Create.

Open the new folder to add assets.

Add existing assets to a folder

You can add assets from more than one type to the same folder.

  1. Open the folder.
  2. Click Add assets.
  3. To find an asset, use Search assets or choose an option from the Type dropdown in the picker.
  4. Click the asset you want to add.
  5. To add another asset, click Add assets again and repeat.

Assets that are already in the folder do not appear in the picker. If more results are available, click Load more.

Edit a folder

Update a folder's details to help you recognize it. These changes apply wherever the folder is used.

  1. On the folder card, click the More Options menu.
  2. Click Edit.
  3. Update Folder Name, Description, or Folder Color.
  4. Click Save.

You can also open a regular folder and click Settings to edit it. For a business goal, Settings opens the goal details page.

Turn a folder into a business goal

Add a conversion when you want to track results for the assets in a folder. Create the conversion before you follow these steps.

  1. Open a regular folder.
  2. Click Settings.
  3. In Define success, choose an existing conversion from Conversion.
  4. To set a deadline, select Add target end date and choose a date.
  5. Click Save.

Once a folder becomes a business goal, it cannot be changed back to a regular folder. To keep a separate regular folder, create one before converting it.

Open the goal folder and click Conversion Performance to view its goal details. Learn more in Business Goals overview.

Delete a folder

Delete a folder when you no longer need the grouping. This removes the folder from assets across your account. It does not delete those assets. You cannot undo the folder deletion.

  1. On the folder card, click the More Options menu.
  2. Click Delete.
  3. Review the message, then click Delete to confirm.

To remove a folder from one asset, use that asset's folder controls. See Use folders with campaigns, Use folders with automations, or Use folders with forms.
