ActiveCampaign’s Campaigns Calendar shows your email campaigns, past, present, and future, at a glance in a calendar view. This view can help you see how often you interact with your contacts and plan future campaigns.
In the Campaigns Calendar view, you can also create new campaigns by date, edit scheduled campaigns, and view past campaign reporting.

- Only Standard and Split test campaigns are available on the Campaigns Calendar
- What months and data you can see on the Campaigns Calendar depends on your ActiveCampaign plan:
- Starter - This month's and next month's data
- Plus, Professional, and Enterprise - All months data
How to access the Campaigns Calendar
The Campaigns Calendar will show you completed, scheduled, and draft campaigns with a scheduled date. Draft campaigns without a scheduled date will remain visible via the list view.
Your scheduled campaigns must be in “Scheduled” status to send.
How to access the Campaigns Calendar:
- Click Campaigns on the left menu.
- In the Campaigns Overview, click the Calendar tab.
- From here, you click the dropdown filters to filter your calendar date by Month, Week, or Day and by Label or List.
How to manage the Campaigns Calendar:
Once you are in the Campaigns Calendar, you can manage it with the following:
Set the Calendar's start day of the week
You can pick the day of the week you want your calendar to start by following these steps:
- Click the Gear Icon at the top right of the calendar.
- Click the “Start week on” dropdown.
- Select the day of the week you want your calendar to start on. Note that this setting will remain until you update it. You do not have to set this each time you view the Campaigns Calendar.
Filters
Click the dropdown filters to filter your calendar date by Month, Week, or Day and by Label or List.
How to send campaigns at the best day and time
The Campaigns Calendar lets you see the best days and times to send a campaign based on your account data:
- Month view will show the best send day using a good, better, best ranking
- Week or Day view will show the best day and time
To turn best send day and time on, click the “Show best send day” toggle on in the upper right-hand corner of the calendar.
The best send day and time feature will enabled once the open rate is above 10% of the total sent amount of the last 30 days.
Create a new Campaign on the Campaigns Calendar
With the Campaigns Calendar, you can create a new campaign by clicking on today’s date or a future date. If you click on a future date, the scheduled date will default to the date selected.
- From the Campaigns Calendar, click on the day you want to send your campaign.
- In the “Schedule a campaign” modal:
- Type in a “Campaign Name”
- Choose “Campaign Type.” Only Standard and Split Testing types are available.
- Choose the “Delivery Date”
- Choose the “Delivery Time”
- Click the “Next” button
- Create your campaign.
- Once you are done creating your campaign, click the “Finish” button at the top right to send or schedule your campaign to send.
Your scheduled campaigns must be in “Scheduled” status to send.
Edit “Scheduled” or “Draft” campaigns
Note: Only draft Campaigns with a scheduled date will appear on the calendar. Draft campaigns without a scheduled date will remain visible via the list view.
- From the Campaigns Calendar, click on a “Scheduled” or “Draft” campaign in the calendar.
- The Campaign Overview will open, where you can edit the campaign.
Your scheduled campaigns must be in “Scheduled” status to send.
View “Sent” campaigns reporting, campaign preview, or resend options
- From the Campaigns Calendar, click on a “Sent” campaign.
- A “Campaign Details” modal will open with the following information:
- Preview of the campaign
- List or segment it was sent to
- “From” email
- Subject
- Type of campaign
- Sender
- Time the campaign finished sending
- To view the campaign report, click “View Report.”
- To resend your campaign, click “Resend Options.” Learn about campaign resend options.
- Click the “Close” button to close the modal window.
