Only Primary Admins and users with purchase permissions can downgrade an account.
How downgrades work
Subscriptions: Accounts purchased/signed up to a paid plan after December 20, 2024
Downgrades take effect at the beginning of your next billing cycle. You will be charged a new rate when your next billing cycle starts.
Downgrade self-serve options
You can self-serve downgrade the following:
- Number of contacts
- Number of user seats
- Number of email sends
Some accounts cannot self-serve downgrade contacts, user seats, and email sends. If you experience this, please contact our Customer Experience team.
To remove an add-on or downgrade your plan tier, you must contact our Customer Experience team.
How to downgrade your account
To downgrade number of contacts, user seats, and email sends:
- From your ActiveCampaign account, click your account avatar.
- A modal window will appear. Select “Billing & Upgrade.”

Click “Edit” for contacts, user seats, and/or monthly email sends.
- A modal window will appear. Make your desired adjustments and confirm the action.
