With ActiveCampaign, you can create forms to collect contact information, add contacts to your ActiveCampaign account, and add subscribers to your SMS marketing list.

Take note

  • You must create an SMS marketing list before you can create a form to subscribe contacts to the SMS marketing list
  • Access to the different form styles and custom fields depends on your ActiveCampaign plan
  • The type of form you create determines your customization options
  • Preference center forms will only work with email marketing lists

Create a form to subscribe contacts to SMS marketing lists

  1. Click Website > Forms on the left menu.
  2. Click the "Create new form" button.
  3. Type the name of your form into the “Form Name” field.
  4. Select the “Form Style” you wish to use. As a reminder, the form styles available depend on your ActiveCampaign plan.
  5. Click the "Form Action" dropdown, then click “Subscribe to SMS list.”

      You can add as many actions as you like to a form. You can also update actions and add more actions to your form during the form creation process or after publication.

  6. Click the dropdown under “Subscribe to SMS list" to select an SMS list.

      When you choose “Subscribe to SMS list,” the “SMS Consent Message” checkbox will be greyed out and selected by default. The SMS consent message is required when you collect SMS consent from a contact. Learn more about the SMS consent message in forms.

  7. Click the “Create form" button

The form builder will load. You can now add fields and customize your form.
