The individual SMS campaign performance report provides data on how well your sent SMS campaign performed and lets you click into data for further analysis and exploration.
With this report, you can:
- View metadata and overall performance metrics for sent campaigns, including:
- Number of sends, delivery rate, reply rate, click rate, fail rate, and opt out rate
- Recipient replies
- Failed send details

You must have the SMS add-on and access to Campaigns to view this report.
How to access an individual SMS campaign performance report
To access the performance report of an SMS campaign:
- Click SMS on the left menu.
- Click the “Status” filter dropdown and select “Sent.”
- Locate the SMS send for which you want to view the report.
- Click the “View Report” quick action button.
Data included in the report
Below are data and definitions included in the report.
Metadata
Metadata | Description |
SMS Name | Name of the SMS campaign |
Type | The kind of SMS message you sent. By default, this displays “Campaign.” |
Sender Name | This is the name of the sender you selected as the From name. |
Lists | Lists that the SMS message was sent to. |
Segment | Any list segments that were targeted for the send. |
Date Range | This is a static date range and is the send date to today’s date (the date you access the report). |
Metrics
Metric | Definition |
Total sent | Total number of SMS campaigns sent to contacts. |
Delivery rate | Percentage of outgoing SMS and MMS messages that are received by contacts. |
Reply rate | Percentage of contacts replying to your SMS campaign. |
Click rate | Percentage of contacts who clicked a link within your message.This is based on unique clicks by subscriber. |
Fail rate | Percentage of SMS sends that were not received. |
Opt out rate | Percentage of contacts who opted out of your SMS communications. |
Each metric has a clickable report icon, allowing you to view more details about your campaign.
“Total sent” - A list containing each recipient who was sent the campaign, along with their phone number, sent date, clicks, deliverability status, message details, their reply, and if they opted out of your messages. You can also filter total sent by deliverability and engagement (clicks, replies, opt out).
“Delivery rate” - A list of each recipient who was successfully sent your SMS message, along with their phone number, sent date, clicks, deliverability status, message details, their reply, and if they opted out of your messages. You can use the filters to view “Any” or “Failed” deliveries and engagement (clicks, replies, opt outs).
“Reply rate” - A list of all recipients who replied to your message, along with their phone number, sent date, clicks, deliverability status, message details, their reply, and if they opted out of your messages. You can use the filters to view “Any” or “Failed” deliveries and engagement (clicks, replies, opt outs).
“Click rate” - A list of all recipients who clicked a link in your SMS campaign, along with their phone number, sent date, clicks, deliverability status, message details, their reply, and if they opted out of your messages. You can also filter total sent by deliverability and engagement (clicks, replies, opt out).
“Fail rate” - A list of all recipients who were sent your SMS message but did not receive it. This report also includes their phone number, sent date, clicks, deliverability status, message details, their reply, and if they opted out of your messages. You can also filter total sent by deliverability and engagement (clicks, replies, opt out).
“Opt-out rate” - A list of all recipients who opted out of your SMS campaigns, along with their phone number, sent date, clicks, deliverability status, message details, their reply, and if they opted out of your messages. You can also filter total sent by deliverability and engagement (clicks, replies, opt out).
Replies widget
As recipients reply to your SMS campaign, we will display them in the Replies widget. Clicking “View More” lets you view additional SMS replies.
Failed details widget
This provides a quick view of failed SMS sends. You can see the errors and reasoning for the errors. Clicking “View More” lets you view additional failed sends.
