If you send or plan to send SMS messages to recipients in Australia, you can use ActiveCampaign's registration process to submit your regulatory bundle in a few steps. Doing so helps you maintain compliance with local regulators and grants you a dedicated Australian 10-digit long code within ActiveCampaign to use when sending messages.

Take note

  • Registration is only available for those within the Admin Group
  • Registration is optional but highly recommended
    You only need to submit the registration form once. All information must be accurate. It is not possible to go back or edit details once you submit your registration
  • ActiveCampaign does not control the review process for SMS registration. This process can take 3-5 business days
    Businesses must have a valid Business name, mailing address, and ID number with supporting documentation to register successfully
  • An example of a 10-digit long code would be your personal phone number, including the area code

How to submit your regulatory bundle for an Australian SMS number

You can access the registration process from the SMS > Registration area of your ActiveCampaign account.

  1. Click the “Register” button for Australia.
  2. Enter your business information into the "Business name" and "Business ID number" fields, then click the "Continue" button.
  3. On the next screen, supply your business address information, starting with the "Country" dropdown field. When finished, click "Continue."
  4. Next, supply the required supporting documentation. Select appropriate file types and upload documentation. When finished, click "Continue."

Once your registration is submitted, your account will show as “Pending approval” until it has been reviewed and accepted. Approval should take 3-5 days. Once approved, you will be granted a dedicated Australian phone number that you can use for automated and broadcast SMS messages.

Troubleshooting your registration

At times, there can be a failure in registration. When this happens, a red callout box will appear with the information that needs to be fixed to approve your registration.

Note that ActiveCampaign does not control the review process for SMS registration. This process can take 3-5 business days.

If you receive a registration error:

  1. Click SMS > Registration to navigate to your registration.
  2. Review the error and be prepared with the information to update your registration. Errors will explain what is incorrect and where to update the form.
  3. Update the incorrect information shown in the error message.
  4. Resubmit your updated registration for review.
