If you are the Primary Account Admin or a user with billing permissions, you can upgrade your plan anytime during your billing cycle.
If you need to downgrade your plan (moving from a higher tier to a lower tier, lowering your contact limit, or removing an add-on), you must contact our Customer Experience team
Upgrade your plan
- From your ActiveCampaign account, click your profile > Billing & Upgrade.
- Click the “Upgrade” button for the desired tier.
- A modal window will appear. Confirm your upgrade by clicking the “Upgrade” button.
Upgrade contact limit, user seats, monthly email sends, and SMS credits (if applicable)
- From your ActiveCampaign account, click your profile > Billing & Upgrade.

Click “Edit” for contacts, user seats, monthly email sends, or SMS credits (available with the SMS add-on).
- A modal window will appear. Make your desired adjustments and confirm the action.
- Click your name on the bottom left of your screen.
- A modal window will appear. Click "Billing & Upgrade."
Turn on auto-upgrade
- Log into your ActiveCampaign account.
- Click your profile > Billing & Upgrade.
- Under “Automatic Upgrades,” click the “Edit” link next to “Contact limit.”
- A modal will appear. Click the toggle button on to confirm auto-upgrade terms.
- Click the “Confirm” button to confirm account changes.
Purchase add-ons
Depending on your plan, you can purchase any of our add-ons: SMS, Pipelines & Sales Engagement, Transactional Email, and Custom Reporting.
- From your ActiveCampaign account, click your profile > Billing & Upgrade.
- Scroll down to “Add more functionality with add-ons” at the bottom of the page.
- Click “Add to plan” button for the add-on you wish to purchase.
- The “Review Purchase” modal will summarize changes to your billing.
- Click “Confirm purchase” to purchase the add-on.
