Attaching files to your email campaigns and automation emails is not something we recommend. It can cause your email message to go to spam and may have a negative impact on your deliverability. Instead, we recommend using our Dropbox integration and adding a link in your email to the file to be downloaded.
However, if it is absolutely necessary for you to include an attachment with your emails, you're able to.
In order to attach a file to an email, that email must be created using the Build From Scratch > Custom HTML option.
It is not possible to attach files to emails that created with our drag and drop email designer.
There are only four types of files that you can attach to a custom HTML email: DOC, DOCX, PDF, or JPEG. In addition, there is a limit of 1 attachment per email and the file can be no larger than 1MB.
To attach a file for your custom HTML email:
- Click the paperclip icon located on the upper right corner of the message editor:
- Click “Choose File” from the Attach a file modal:
- A green confirmation message will appear at the top of your screen:
- Click “Close.”
Your file is now attached to your email.
