Steps to connect your phone number to WhatsApp

  1. From your ActiveCampaign account, click WhatsApp > Settings on the left menu.
  2. On the Account config page, click “WhatsApp accounts.”
  3. Click “Start now” for either Meta option.
  4. Select the phone number origin. There are three options to choose from:
    1. Use a new number
Choose this option if the number you’re configuring hasn’t been used in WhatsApp, WhatsApp Business, or WhatsApp Business API. This is the easiest option to choose as you won’t need to do any additional steps.
    2. Migrate a number in use on the WhatsApp Business App
Choose this option if you want to migrate a number that is currently being used in the WhatsApp Business App. Note that WhatsApp Business API and WhatsApp Business App are different platforms that can’t be used simultaneously. You'll need to delete your WhatsApp account to continue, once you’ve done this, you’ll be able to migrate your number. Once you’ve deleted your account, wait five minutes before continuing to follow this guide as Facebook takes some time to update their systems.
    3. Migrate from another Business Service Provider (BSP)
Choose this option if you want to migrate a number that is currently being used in another Business Solution Provider (BSP) to WhatsApp. You’ll need to have the necessary permissions to do this and disable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) to continue. Follow these instructions to learn how to disable 2FA or ask your current BSP to.

  5. Confirm that you own a Business Manager account and website.
To continue, you’ll need to confirm that you own a Business Manager account and a website. If you don’t have a Business Manager account, you can create one. Websites are needed so that Facebook can verify your business is real. If you don’t have one, your number might get blocked.
