How do I select a currency for my deals?

You can specify a currency for an individual deal, or set a default currency for a pipeline.

How to select a currency when creating a deal

You can select a currency for any deal you create. This is done on the "Add a Deal" modal that appears when you create a new deal.

1. Click Deals to navigate to the Deals page in your ActiveCampaign account.
2. Click the pipeline dropdown then click the pipeline you wish to create a new deal for.
   
   
3. Click "Add a deal." Note that you can click the "Add a deal" button on the top right of the page, or click the "Add a deal" option below any stage in your pipeline.
   
   
4. Complete the information in the "Add a New Deal" modal. To select a currency, click the currency dropdown then click the currency option you wish to use.
   
   
5. When finished, click the "Add Deal" button.

If you have multiple deals with different currencies in a single stage, we will display them as "1 deal" toward the top of the stage with its corresponding currency. Under that, we will list each deal with its details:

How to update the currency for a deal

You can update the currency for an open deal at any time. Note that updating the currency for a deal will not change or convert the value for that deal.

1. Click Deals to navigate to the Deals page.
2. Click the pipeline dropdown then click the pipeline containing the deal you wish to edit.
   
   
   Note that you can also search for the deal by typing the deal title, email, phone, or account name into the search field.
   
   
3. Locate the deal you wish to update then click it to open it.
4. Click the pencil icon located next to the deal value.
   
   
5. Click the currency to reveal the drop down, then click the currency you wish to use.
   
   
   
   
6. Click "Save Changes" when finished.

How to set a default currency for a pipeline

You can set a default currency for a pipeline. Any new deals added to your pipeline will reflect the default currency. Any deals that had a different currency before the default was updated will not be changed.

If you need to use a different currency for a deal once a default currency is set, you can always update it for that specific deal.

1. Click Deals to navigate to the Deals page.
2. Click the pipeline dropdown then click the pipeline you wish to edit.
3. Click the gear icon next to the name of the pipeline.
   
   
4. Click "Options" located in the dropdown menu.
   
   
5. The "Pipeline Options" modal will open. Click the "Default Currency" dropdown field.
   
   
6. Click the currency you wish to use for all deals in this pipeline.
7. When finished, click the "Save" button.
