Use WhatsApp Messaging reports in ActiveCampaign to understand how well your team’s conversations are performing.  

These reports include:

  • Conversation Reports (Summary)
  • By Agent
  • By Tag
  • Details
  • WhatsApp Button

Access WhatsApp Messaging reports

There are two ways to access this report. You can either click WhatsApp > Report name or Reports > WhatsApp > Report name.

Clicking the “Filter” button on any report lets you set a date range and view results by contact tags, conversation tags, and an agent’s email address. 

In addition, you can download the results of any report by clicking “Download CSV.”

Conversation Reports (Summary)

This report lets you see how many contacts and conversations your team is reaching, grouped by date. This report is under the “Overview” tab on the left menu under WhatsApp > Reports. 

This report includes:

  • Conversations in a period
  • Messages in period
  • Conversations by source - Flow, Inbound, Inbox
  • Metrics in charts - All Conversations, Distinct Contacts, Avg. Duration (by day), Avg time first response (by day), Avg rating (by day)
  • Summary of Inbox & Inbound conversations (weekly)
  • Summary of Inbox & Inbound conversations (daily)

By Agent

You can use this report to compare usage among different agents. It includes:

  • Conversations per Agent
  • Messages by Agent
  • Metrics in charts (grouped by agent)
  • Conversations Summary (by agent)

By Tag

This report helps compare the most common reasons for contact. It is generated based on the conversation tags information. It includes:

  • Conversations by Tag chart
  • Conversations Summary (by tag)

Details

This report displays conversation details from all sources. Data is presented in a table and includes:

  • Conversation start dates and times
  • Contact phone numbers
  • Contact names
  • Contact and conversation tags
  • Agents
  • Conversation statuses
  • Conversation directions (inbound or outbound)
  • Duration
  • And more

WhatsApp button (Widget Reports)

This report shows how many conversations are coming from your website. Data in this report includes clicks by:

  • Button
  • Referrer
  • UTM campaign
  • UTM medium
  • UTM source
  • UTM term

Best practices for reporting

Here is a summary of how to use WhatsApp Messaging in ActiveCampaign so that these reports are as engaging and helpful as possible:

  • Use Conversation Tags
    These are used to classify individual conversations and, later, to measure metrics such as the number of Support versus Sales conversations.
  • Close conversations (either manually or automatically) 
    This ensures conversations do not remain open for longer than necessary.
  • Choose the correct report based on your requirement 
    Whether you want to look at a general summary, delve into team performance (reports by agent), analyze conversation reasons (reports by tag), or access raw data (detail).
