WooCommerce is a popular, easy-to-use Wordpress ecommerce solution. One of the advantages of using WooCommerce is that there is a wide variety of plugins available to extend its functionality and customize it for different usage scenarios.
There are a few different ways you can use to integrate your ActiveCampaign account with WooCommerce, which one you choose will depend on your plan level and business processes.
In this article, we'll discuss the ActiveCampaign WooCommerce Deep Data integration and integrating ActiveCampaign with WooCommerce using Zapier.
ActiveCampaign's WooCommerce Deep Data integration
This integration option works with WooCommerce 3.0 or higher.
With ActiveCampaign's Deep Data integration with WooCommerce, you can send actionable purchase and abandoned cart data from your WooCommerce store directly into your ActiveCampaign account.
This allows you to send customized follow-up purchase emails to your contacts so you can cross-sell and upsell other products, send emails to contacts who abandoned their cart, segment contacts by purchase information, and more.
The integration is set up in two places:
-
On the Settings > Integrations page in your ActiveCampaign account
Here you will connect your WooCommerce Ecommerce store to your ActiveCampaign account. Once you do, all purchases from that moment forward will be by synced to your ActiveCampaign account -
ActiveCampaign for WooCommerce Wordpress plugin
This plugin will allow you to configure how long a cart should be considered abandoned, provide an opt-in checkbox on your checkout form, configure what the opt-in checkbox says, trigger automations when a contact abandons their cart. Get the WooCommerce plugin.

Integrate with WooCommerce using Zapier
This integration can be used on any plan level.
Zapier is a popular 3rd party tool that allows you to connect ActiveCampaign with hundreds of other apps so you can automate workflows. When you create a connection between two apps with Zapier, you are creating a Zap.
With this integration, you can connect your ActiveCampaign account with WooCommerce by using ActiveCampaign as the “trigger” or “action.” For example, you can create a Zap that will create/update a contact in ActiveCampaign ("action") if there is a new order in your WooCommerce store ("trigger").
While this solution is easy to set up, the information being synced to ActiveCampaign is not as thorough as the Deep Data solution. For example, you will not be able to sync abandoned cart data nor will you be able to use our Abandoned Cart feature.
This integration option will require the following:
- The WooCommerce plugin installed on your Wordpress site
- The WooCommerce Zapier extension installed on your Wordpress site
- A Zapier account. If you don't already have one, please visit the Zapier site and create one.
