Use the migration solution card powered by our preferred partner Quazzlient on your Active Intelligence homepage to connect a supported email platform and bring key data into your ActiveCampaign account with fewer manual steps.
Take note
- The migration solution is currently available for customers switching from Mailchimp. Support for additional platforms is coming soon
- The card only appears on the Active Intelligence homepage and is a one-time prompt. If you do not see the migration solution card or prefer a CSV-based process, you can still use the standard migration and import articles in the Help Center
- After you complete a migration with it once, the card no longer appears
What the migration card does
The migration solution card connects to your previous email platform and lets you import:
- Audiences or lists
- Contacts, including subscribed and unsubscribed statuses
- Tags and custom fields
- Forms
- Automations
- Email campaigns
The exact set of assets and limits may vary. Always review what appears on the asset selection screen in your account.
When to use this feature
Use the migration solution card if:
- You are moving from a supported email platform.
- You see the migration card on your Active Intelligence homepage.
- You want to migrate contacts and related assets together, not just a contact list.
Use CSV-based migration instead if:
- Your previous platform is not yet supported. You do not see the migration solution card in your account.
- You only want to import contacts and manage fields and tags yourself.
For additional guidance, please refer to the migrating to ActiveCampaign articles in the Help Center.
Connect your previous platform
- Log in to your ActiveCampaign account. The Active Intelligence homepage will appear
- Locate the migration solution card on the right side of the homepage.
- Click “Connect my account.”
- Review and accept the Quazzlient Terms & Conditions to continue.
- Enter the API key from your previous platform when prompted.
- After you connect, Quazzlient securely stores your credentials and starts scanning your previous account for data and assets.
How the scan works
- A progress indicator appears on the migration solution card while Quazzlient runs the export.
- Most exports complete in 1–2 hours, but large accounts may take up to 24 hours.
Once finished, you will receive an email confirming that your data has been exported. Also, the migration card shows a “Review assets” button so you can see what was found and choose what to move into ActiveCampaign.
Review assets and run the migration
- Once the migration solution card updates to say “Your data is ready for review," click "Review assets.”
-
Review the detected assets, such as:
- Audiences or lists
- Contacts
- Tags and custom fields
- Forms
- Automations (Note: Only Classic Automations are supported at this time.)
- Email Campaigns
- Click the “Review” button for each asset to confirm what data you want to migrate now.
- Once you have reviewed the assets, click “Start migration.” The import will run in the background.
- When the migration finishes, you will receive an email notification confirming it is complete.
Once migrated, your chosen assets will be available in ActiveCampaign as lists, contacts, tags, custom fields, forms, automations, and email templates.
Verify your data after migration
After you receive the completion email, verify that your migrated data looks correct.
Contacts and lists
-
Go to Contacts and confirm:
- The total number of contacts is close to what you expect.
- Contacts have the correct status (Active, Unsubscribed, and so on).
-
Go to Contacts > Lists and confirm:
- List names make sense for your account.
- Each list shows the correct active contact count.
Tags and custom fields
- Go to Contacts > Tags and check that your expected tags exist and are applied to contacts.
-
Go to Contacts > Fields and verify that your important custom fields are present and mapped correctly.
Forms
-
Go to Website > Forms and check:
- Form names and fields.
- Form actions and opt-in settings.
- Form display and behavior in your preview or on your site.
Templates and automations
- Go to Campaigns > Campaign templates and confirm that templates render as expected.
-
Go to Automations and open each migrated automation:
- Confirm triggers and actions are correct.
- Review emails inside each automation to confirm content and links.
For a full post-migration checklist, see the “I migrated to ActiveCampaign, now what?” article.
If you do not see the migration card
You may not see the migration card if:
- Your previous platform is not yet supported.
- Your account type or plan is not eligible (for example, some reseller or legacy accounts).
- You have already used the card once. It is a one-time prompt and does not appear again.
If the card is not available, you can still migrate to ActiveCampaign by:
- Using the guided migration and CSV import articles in the Help Center.
- Following “Import contacts from a CSV file” and “How to prepare your CSV file for importing contacts in ActiveCampaign” to format and import contacts correctly.
These options give you a standard path to move data into ActiveCampaign when the Active Intelligence homepage migration solution is not available.
