ACHQ - Products content block for ActiveCampaign HQ Partners

If your child accounts use the Shopify or WooCommerce Deep Data integrations, they can send different product recommendations to different segments of contacts using the "Products" content block. All they need to do is add the "Products" content block to their email and pick a collection of items to feature.

Take note

Here are some things your clients should know before they get started:

  • This version of Products content block is available natively in ActiveCampaign with the Shopify integration and the WooCommerce integration (version 1.9.2). It is also available to any account connected using the Products GraphQL endpoint
  • Your child account owners will need to have collections configured in their connected ecommerce store prior to using this block
  • Your child account owners can use multiple "Products" blocks in a single email
  • The "Products" block can be used in both the Classic Designer and Email Designer for email campaigns and automated emails

How the Products content block works

After your child account owner drags the "Products" block to their email, we'll present them with a placeholder display containing four sample products. The placeholder will include an image, product name, price, description, and a view button for each sample product.

They will be able to configure the look and feel of the block by using the "Options" tab on the right menu. For example, they can choose to display anywhere from one to four products from any collection in their connected Shopify or WooCommerce store. They can also sort these products by best selling, recently added, and cost (highest to lowest and lowest to highest). The placeholder display will adjust to their configurations in the Campaign Designer.

As the email is being sent to contacts, the images and product information will automatically populate from your client's store into the email. Contacts who open the email will see your client's products and product information instead of the placeholder display. If they click the "View" button for any of the products, they'll be directed to your client's ecommerce store where they can make a purchase.

Test sends of the email will work in a similar fashion. Any test sends of the email will display their products so they can see how the final version will look before they send it to their list.

Note that the images and information we display in the "Products" block comes directly from their store. If they need to change the name, description, price, or image for a product, they'll need to do so in their ecommerce store.

Add and configure the Products content block

Your child account owners can use the Product content block in their emails by following these steps:

  1. Have your child account owner open the campaign designer for an email by clicking "Edit" for either a campaign or automation email.
  2. Have them click the "Products" content block and drag it to the email. The block will display a placeholder for four products. Each product in the placeholder includes an image, product name, price, product description, and a "View" button.
  3. Next, they'll need to click the content block to open configuration options in the right menu.
  4. They'll need to select their connected ecommerce store and collection, then sort by preference by using the three dropdowns listed under "Products" in the "Options" tab. Note that up to 250 collections will be listed in alphabetical order.
  5. Next, they can choose how many items they wish to display by using the "Items" dropdown listed under "Layout." They can choose to display up to four items.
  6. Product image, product name, product price, product description, and button are also listed under "Layout." Each item here will have its own toggle and all will be set to "On" by default. This means that each of these items will appear in the Products content block in their email. If they want to hide or remove any of these items from their email, they can click the toggle to set it to the "Off" position.
  7. They can adjust the look of the content block itself by using the configuration options listed under "Block." Here they can adjust the background color, border, margin, and padding.
  8. Clicking the product name, price and description in the content block allows them to change the font type, font size, font color, and font styling for each product listed in their email.
  9. They can adjust the text alignment of all product buttons by clicking the "View" button

Your child account owner can continue to modify the email using the other content blocks provided. When finished, they can click "Save & Exit" to close the campaign for now or click "Next" to view the Campaign Summary page.
