The Partner Dashboard is your new home screen in the Partner Portal. It replaces the previous homepage and gives you one place to see how your whole book of business is doing: what you'll be billed next, how your clients are engaging, which accounts are at risk, and what to do next.

The dashboard has two tabs: Overview for your daily operating view, and Churn & Retention for risk and revenue exposure.

How to read the numbers

Three things are worth knowing before you dig in:

  • Most widgets update once a day, so the figures you see are usually a day or two behind rather than live. Charts that depend on daily data show the date their data runs through — read that date rather than assuming today
  • The four headline tiles at the top of the Overview tab are the exception: they reflect your accounts in near real time, within about five minutes of a change
  • Only accounts you resell are included. Referred and affiliate accounts are not counted anywhere on the dashboard, so if you track referrals separately, your own numbers will be higher than what you see here

Overview tab

The Overview tab covers, from top to bottom: performance insights, four headline tiles, an engagement chart, a month-over-month health comparison, your Smart Start Guide, accounts approaching a plan limit, and your portfolio breakdown.

Performance insights

A rotating set of insight cards that highlight what deserves attention across your portfolio — for example accounts with very high churn risk, clients growing fast and approaching plan limits, accounts whose engagement has dropped, or clients worth celebrating. Each card is tagged by theme, such as churn risk, expansion or loyalty, and shows how recently it was generated.

Insights refresh monthly, based on the previous period, so the same card can stay on screen for a while. They share the same pool as the insights on your Accounts Overview page: dismiss or act on one there and it disappears here too.

What you can click: Launch in ActiveIntelligence on any card opens an Active Intelligence conversation already set up around that finding, and the arrows move through the cards.

KPIs

TileWhat it tells you
Upcoming cost (30 days)An estimate of what ActiveCampaign will bill you over the next 30 days, based on each client account's scheduled renewal date and your partner price. Accounts renewing later aren't counted, and annual renewals appear in full.
ClientsEvery client account you have, excluding sandbox accounts.
New ClientsAccounts created in the last 30 days, excluding sandbox accounts.
Clients at riskAccounts currently carrying a high or very high churn risk score.

A few things that surprise people:

  • Upcoming cost is based on your partner price — the wholesale price you pay ActiveCampaign, not what you charge your client
  • Because annual renewals are shown in full, this number can jump between months when a large group of annual accounts falls due. That's the renewal calendar, not an error
  • Clients counts every account you hold, including archived, cancelled and trial ones. Upcoming cost only counts accounts that can actually renew. The two are meant to differ
  • Clients at risk uses your accounts' churn risk scores, while the risk tiles on the Churn & Retention tab use churn predictions. They answer slightly different questions, so the numbers won't line up exactly

Accounts Engagement

A daily view of activity across all your client accounts, with three lines:

LineWhat it counts
Emails sentEmails successfully delivered that day. Failed sends and bounces aren't counted.
AutomationsAutomations active during the trailing week, as measured on that day. Hidden automations aren't counted.
Campaigns sentCampaigns in use that day. Drafts aren't counted.

How to read it: Automations is a weekly measure shown daily, so each point already reflects a full week of activity. Read it as a level, not a total — adding up seven days will overstate it.

If you're a newer partner your chart may be shorter than the full range. That means the chart is showing every day that exists for you.

What you can click: choose which lines to plot, switch the date range, toggle a line off using the legend, and hover any day for exact values.

MoM Change in Customer Health

A side-by-side comparison of how many of your accounts fell into four health statuses — Churn, Contraction, Maintain and Expansion — this month against last month. Each side is labelled with its snapshot date.

Health here is based on what an account actually pays: it compares each account's plan price between the two monthly snapshots. That's different from churn prediction, so an account can look risky on the Churn & Retention tab and still show as Maintain here — one is a forecast, the other is a change that already happened.

The dashboard keeps the current and previous month for this comparison. If you need a longer history, your partner manager can help you request it.

Smart Start Guide

A guided checklist of the highest-value things you can do as a partner, with a progress counter, a To do list and a Completed section. Every item has a short description and an estimated time, so you can pick something that fits the gap you have.

The list spans three kinds of work:

  • Getting set up — adding a payment profile, creating your first sandbox account, launching your first client account
  • Growing with AI — creating an AI Customization Profile, adding custom instructions, assigning real client accounts to a profile, and expanding coverage across 25%, 50% and 75% of your accounts
  • Learning and promoting — adding Knowledge Base documents for support, campaigns, brand rules, benchmarks and your product and industry; working with Snapshots; finding your API credentials; exploring integrations and the prompt library; ActiveTraining; Partner Certification; and announcing your partnership

Items tick themselves off. Setup and AI items complete when the dashboard detects the change in your account — for example once a Customization Profile exists, or once a Knowledge Base document with a given label is uploaded. Learning items complete when you open the linked resource. Completed items move to the bottom, and the guide stays available once you've finished everything.

What you can click: every item — action items open the right page in the Partner Portal, learning items open the resource.

Accounts near their paid limit

The five accounts closest to a plan limit, in two views: contacts and user seats. Each row shows how much of the limit is used, both as a percentage and as usage against the limit. Only accounts at 80% or more appear; anything from 80–89% is flagged amber and above 89% red.

What you can click: switch between contacts and user seats, and click an account name to open it in your Accounts Overview, already filtered to that account.

Accounts Population

A single view of how your portfolio splits across the same four health statuses as the month-over-month comparison — Expansion, Contraction, Maintain and Churn — for the current month. It uses exactly the same definition, so the two always agree. This widget also appears on the Churn & Retention tab.

Churn & Retention tab

This tab answers three questions in one place: which accounts are at risk, what the model expects them to do, and how much revenue is exposed.

Risk tiles: High risk, Moderate risk, Healthy

Based on our churn model's daily prediction for each of your accounts. Updated once a day, so it can trail today's activity by a couple of days.

Each tile has an information icon explaining what it includes — worth reading, because the bands are narrower than they look:

BandWhat it includes
High riskAccounts predicted to leave, at high or very high likelihood
Moderate riskAccounts predicted to leave, at moderate likelihood
HealthyEverything else

"Everything else" covers more than you might expect. Healthy includes accounts predicted to leave at low or minimal likelihood, accounts predicted to shrink at any level (a shrinking account isn't leaving), accounts predicted to grow at any level, accounts expected to stay as they are, and accounts the model has no prediction for.

So Healthy means "not currently predicted to leave" rather than "confirmed healthy", and because unscored accounts sit here, a large Healthy share is normal. If an account is shrinking fast but shows as Healthy, that's working as intended — look at the month-over-month health comparison or the Contracted column in At risk ARR instead.

Reading the change: a fall in High risk is good news, so read each delta against its band rather than just the direction of the number.

Churn Risk Distribution Over Time

The same three bands plotted month by month, so you can see whether risk is building or easing rather than looking at a single snapshot. Each month is a month-end reading, not an average, and up to 12 months are available.

What you can click: switch between a 6-month and 12-month view, toggle bands in the legend, and hover a month for exact counts.

Accounts Population

The same portfolio breakdown as on the Overview tab, placed here so you can weigh risk against the overall shape of your book.

Prediction type

A breakdown of what the model expects your accounts to do — expand, churn or contract — and how strong each prediction is, from minimal through to very high.

What to expect:

  • Only expansion, churn and contraction appear. There's no "maintain" bar here by design; that view lives in the health widgets
  • Very high only ever appears for churn. Expansion and contraction don't reach that level
  • Some combinations simply don't occur, and nothing is filled in to make the chart look complete
  • These figures update monthly, not daily, so they can hold steady for weeks and then step. That's expected, not a stale dashboard

What you can click: switch the risk band breakdown, toggle levels in the legend, and hover a bar for exact counts.

At risk ARR

How much revenue is exposed, grouped by risk level, with the most at-risk level first and a total at the bottom.

ColumnWhat it means
ChurnedPredicted annual revenue from accounts expected to leave
ContractedPredicted annual revenue from accounts expected to shrink rather than leave
CostChurned plus Contracted

The most important point: these are forward-looking predictions covering the next three months, not revenue you've already lost. Cost deliberately excludes expansion, so it's a measure of exposure rather than a net forecast. Amounts are annual figures, so there's no need to multiply them by 12.

Two details that avoid confusion: the total is always exactly the sum of the rows shown, and risk levels with no exposed revenue are left out rather than listed as zero. If all your accounts are predicted to grow, an empty table with a zero total is the correct result.

What you can click: View on any row to see the accounts behind that risk level.

How far back the data goes

At this moment the dashboard is built for the current picture and recent trend rather than long-term reporting:

ViewHistory available
Accounts EngagementAbout the last month of daily activity
Churn risk trendUp to 12 months
Risk tilesCurrent reading
Prediction type and At risk ARRCurrent month
Health comparison and portfolio breakdownCurrent and previous month

If you need a longer history or a custom cut of your data, talk to your partner manager.

When two numbers don't match

Different widgets deliberately answer different questions, so a few pairs won't line up — and both can be correct:

  • Clients at risk (headline tile) and High risk (Churn & Retention tab) use churn scores and churn predictions respectively
  • An account can be High risk on one tab and Maintain in the health widgets: one is a prediction about leaving, the other is a change in what the account pays
  • Upcoming cost only covers renewals falling due in the next 30 days, while the partner price column in your Accounts Overview lists every account's price whatever its renewal date

If your account totals look very different from your own records, the most likely explanation is referred or affiliate accounts, which the dashboard doesn't count. If a whole widget is empty or a number looks clearly wrong, contact Partner Support.
