The Partner Dashboard is a default landing page when you're logging into Partner Portal and it is a reporting screen in the Partner Portal that summarizes account totals, engagement, churn risk, and revenue exposure across the accounts you resell.
In this article, you'll learn what each widget on the Partner Dashboard shows, how its data is calculated, and which controls are available.
The dashboard has two tabs:
Overview – account totals, engagement, customer health, onboarding tasks, and plan-limit usage.
Churn & Retention – churn-risk distribution, prediction types, portfolio health, and predicted revenue exposure.
Take note
The dashboard only includes accounts you resell. Referred and affiliate accounts are excluded from every widget.
Most widgets refresh once per day and lag account activity by approximately two to three days. A change made in an account today is not expected to appear in the dashboard today.
The four headline tiles on the Overview tab are the exception. They query account data directly and are cached for about five minutes, so they reflect recent changes faster than the other widgets.
At risk ARR and Prediction type describe predicted outcomes, not events that have already happened. At risk ARR is a three-month-forward prediction, not revenue already lost.
Some widgets can disagree with each other by design because they use different data sources or definitions. See Why values can differ between widgets.
How it works
Each widget on the dashboard reads from one of two sources:
Daily warehouse datasets – used by Accounts Engagement, the Churn & Retention risk tiles, Churn Risk Distribution Over Time, Prediction type, At risk ARR, MoM Change in Customer Health, and Accounts Population. These datasets are rebuilt once per day, so the dashboard is typically one to three days behind live account activity.
Direct account queries – used only by the four headline tiles on the Overview tab (Upcoming cost, Clients, New Clients, Clients at risk). These are queried directly and cached in your browser for about five minutes.
Accounts Engagement and Churn Risk Distribution Over Time display the date through which their data is available. Use that date when interpreting the latest point on either chart. The remaining daily-dataset widgets display their own snapshot or month label instead.
Overview tab
The Overview tab displays the following sections in order:
Performance insights
Headline tiles
Accounts Engagement
MoM Change in Customer Health
Smart Start Guide
Accounts near their paid limit
Accounts Population
Performance insights
Performance insights are cards generated from account activity and account attributes during the previous reporting period. A card can identify:
Accounts with a high churn risk
Accounts with increased usage approaching a plan limit
Accounts with a significant drop in engagement
Accounts with positive results or expansion indicators
Each card shows a category (for example, Churn risk, Expansion, or Loyalty) and how long ago it was generated. Insights refresh monthly.
The dashboard and the Accounts Overview page use the same set of insights. Dismissing or acting on an insight in one location removes it from the other.
Available controls
Select the previous or next arrow to move through the cards.
Select Launch in ActiveIntelligence on a card to open a conversation about that insight.
KPIs
Tile |
Definition |
Exclusions and notes |
|---|---|---|
Upcoming cost (30 days) |
Estimated amount ActiveCampaign will bill over the next 30 days, based on each account's scheduled renewal date and your partner price. |
Excludes accounts that cannot renew, accounts without a scheduled renewal date, renewals already overdue, and accounts renewing after 30 days. |
Clients |
Number of client accounts. |
Excludes sandbox accounts only. Archived, cancelled, disabled, expired, and trial accounts can be included. |
New Clients |
Number of client accounts created in the previous 30 rolling days. |
Excludes sandbox accounts. The rolling window is measured to the minute, not by calendar day. |
Clients at risk |
Number of accounts with a high or very high churn risk score. |
Excludes sandbox accounts and accounts without a churn score. This score is a different classification than the Churn & Retention risk tiles use. |
Additional detail for Upcoming cost:
The amount uses your partner price — the price after discounts you pay ActiveCampaign — not the price you charge your client.
An annual account contributes its full annual amount when its renewal falls in the 30-day window. A monthly account contributes one month.
The value can change substantially between months when a large group of annual accounts reaches its renewal date in that window.
An account that is cancelled but still active until the cancellation takes effect can still be included, because it remains billable during that period.
This tile is not expected to match the Partner price column in Accounts Overview. That column shows the per-period price for every account regardless of renewal date; Upcoming cost includes only renewals due in the next 30 days.
The headline tiles are not clickable in this release and do not provide an account-level drill-down.
Accounts Engagement
Accounts Engagement is a daily line chart across your resold accounts, with three metrics:
Metric |
Definition |
Exclusions |
|---|---|---|
Emails sent |
Emails successfully delivered that day, summed across your accounts. |
Failed sends and bounces. |
Automations |
Automations active during the trailing week, measured on that day. |
Hidden automations. |
Campaigns sent |
Campaigns in use that day. |
Draft campaigns. |
Automations is a trailing-week measure plotted at daily points. Each point already represents a full week of activity, so adding the daily values together does not produce a weekly total.
The chart defaults to the most recent 30 days and supports a range of 1 to 37 days. The chart can contain fewer points than the selected range if less history is stored for your account — for example, if your Partner Portal account is new.

MoM Change in Customer Health
This widget compares account counts across four health statuses for the current and previous monthly snapshots:
Churn
Contraction
Maintain
Expansion
Each snapshot is labelled with its date. All four statuses are shown for both snapshots, including when a status is zero.
Health status is calculated from the change in an account's plan price between the two monthly snapshots. It is not a churn prediction, and it uses a fixed exchange rate so that currency movement alone cannot change an account's status. A churned account is counted only in the month it churned, not in every following snapshot.
Because this widget and the churn model answer different questions, an account can have a high churn prediction and still show as Maintain here if its plan price did not change between snapshots.
Only the current and previous monthly snapshots are available in this comparison.
Smart Start Guide
The Smart Start Guide is a checklist of Partner Portal setup, configuration, and training tasks, with a completion counter and separate To do and Completed sections. Each task includes a short description and an estimated completion time.
The task set can include:
Partner setup — adding a payment profile, creating a sandbox account, launching a client account
AI Customization Profiles — creating a profile, adding custom instructions, assigning accounts, and reaching 25%, 50%, and 75% coverage milestones
Knowledge Base documents for support, campaigns, brand rules, benchmarks, and product and industry information
Snapshots — creating a Snapshot and creating an account from a Snapshot
API credentials, integrations, the prompt library, ActiveTraining, and Partner Certification
Community, product education, and other partner resources
Task completion works in two ways:
Setup and configuration tasks are marked complete automatically when the required account change is detected.
Learning and resource tasks are marked complete after you open the linked resource.
Completed tasks remain visible in the guide. Select a task to open the related Partner Portal page or external resource.
Accounts near their paid limit
This section lists up to five accounts closest to a plan limit, in two views:
Contacts
User seats
Each account shows usage as a percentage and as a value against its limit. Only accounts using 80% or more of the selected limit are listed:
80%–89%: amber indicator
90% or more: red indicator
Available controls
Switch between Contacts and User seats.
Select an account name to open Accounts Overview, filtered to that account.
Accounts Population
This widget shows the portfolio distribution for the newest monthly health snapshot, across the same four statuses used in MoM Change in Customer Health: Expansion, Contraction, Maintain, and Churn.
It uses the same definition and snapshot period as the newest column in MoM Change in Customer Health, so the two are expected to match. This widget also appears on the Churn & Retention tab. It does not provide an account-level drill-down.
Churn & Retention tab
The Churn & Retention tab displays current risk bands, historical churn-risk distribution, prediction types, portfolio health, and predicted revenue exposure.
Risk tiles
The risk tiles show the number of accounts in each risk band and the change since the previous month. Selecting the information icon next to the Accounts overview heading displays:
Based on our churn model's daily prediction for each of your accounts. Updated once a day, so it can trail today's activity by a couple of days.
Each tile also has its own information icon. The tooltip text for each band is:
Risk band |
Tooltip text |
|---|---|
High risk |
"Accounts the model expects to churn or cancel, with high or very high confidence." |
Moderate risk |
"Accounts the model expects to churn or cancel, with moderate confidence." |
Healthy |
"Everything else - accounts expected to stay, accounts expected to change plan rather than leave, and accounts the model has no prediction for yet." |
Healthy is the widest band. Based on the tooltip text, it includes accounts predicted to stay on their current plan (Maintain), accounts predicted to change plan rather than leave (Contraction or Expansion, at any confidence), and accounts the model has not yet scored. Accounts predicted to churn or cancel at low or minimal confidence are also included in Healthy, since only moderate, high, and very high confidence move an account into the Moderate risk or High risk tiles.
Healthy therefore means "not currently predicted to churn," not "confirmed to be in good standing."
Select the information icon on the section heading or on any tile to view its definition in the product.
Churn Risk Distribution Over Time
This chart plots the same High risk, Moderate risk, and Healthy bands used by the risk tiles, as monthly points over time, with up to 12 months of history.
For each month, the chart uses the latest day in that month for which prediction data is available — a month-end-style snapshot, not an average or a sum. All three bands are shown for every month, including when a band is zero. Chart labels use the month, not the sampled day.
Band definitions match the risk tiles exactly, including the rule that accounts with no prediction count as Healthy. The most recent point on this chart is expected to match the risk tiles when both refer to the same underlying snapshot.
Available controls
Select Last 6 months or Last 12 months.
Select a band in the legend to show or hide it.
Hover over a month to see the exact count.
Accounts Population
This is the same widget shown on the Overview tab, using the newest monthly health snapshot and the same four statuses: Expansion, Contraction, Maintain, and Churn. It does not provide an account-level drill-down.
Prediction type
Prediction type shows account counts for the latest monthly prediction data, grouped by predicted behavior and prediction strength.
Behavior categories:
Expansion
Churn
Contraction
Maintain is not shown in this chart. Maintain describes an observed plan-price change and appears only in the health widgets, not in the churn model's output.
Prediction strengths, from least to most severe:
Minimal
Low
Moderate
High
Very high
Very high applies only to Churn; Expansion and Contraction do not reach that level. Not every behavior-and-strength combination occurs, and an absent combination is left blank rather than filled in.
This chart preserves the churn model's original output. The risk tiles apply a separate grouping that reclassifies some low-risk churn predictions as Healthy, so Prediction type and the risk tiles are not expected to show identical breakdowns.
Prediction data is rescored on a monthly schedule, so this chart can remain unchanged for several weeks between updates.
Available controls
Select the risk-band breakdown.
Select a prediction level in the legend to show or hide it.
Hover over a bar to see the exact count.
At risk ARR
At risk ARR groups predicted annual revenue exposure by risk level, using a three-month prediction horizon. Rows are ordered from Very high to Minimal, and risk levels with no exposed revenue are omitted.
Column |
Definition |
|---|---|
Churned |
Predicted annual recurring revenue from accounts predicted to Churn. |
Contracted |
Predicted annual recurring revenue from accounts predicted to Contract. These accounts are expected to shrink, not leave. |
Cost |
Churned plus Contracted. Expansion is excluded. |
These figures are forward-looking predictions for the next three months. They are not revenue already lost, and Cost is not a net revenue forecast.
Amounts are already annualized. Do not multiply the displayed values by 12.
Very high rows show no Contracted amount, because Very high applies only to Churn. The Total is the sum of the displayed rows; it is not an additional amount.
If none of your accounts have predicted churn or contraction exposure, the table can be empty with a Total of zero. This is expected — accounts predicted only to expand do not produce At risk ARR rows.
Available controls
Select View on a row to open the accounts included in that risk level.
Available history
View |
History retained or displayed |

Accounts Engagement |
Approximately 37 days of daily points; the chart defaults to 30 days. |
Churn Risk Distribution Over Time |
Up to 12 monthly points. |

Prediction type |
Latest monthly data; two monthly snapshots are retained. |
At risk ARR |
Latest monthly data with a three-month prediction horizon; two monthly snapshots are retained. |
MoM Change in Customer Health |

The dashboard is not a long-term archive. Historical engagement beyond the retained daily points, and custom historical comparisons, are not available from the dashboard.
Why values can differ between widgets
Widgets use different data sources, time periods, and definitions. The following differences are expected and do not indicate an error:
Clients at risk (Overview tab) uses a churn-risk score band and excludes unscored accounts. High risk (Churn & Retention tab) uses prediction type and prediction level, and includes unscored accounts in Healthy.
An account can be High risk on the Churn & Retention tab and Maintain in MoM Change in Customer Health at the same time. One reflects a churn prediction; the other reflects an observed plan-price change.
Prediction type preserves the churn model's original output. The risk tiles apply a separate grouping that reclassifies some predictions. The two are not expected to produce identical breakdowns.
Upcoming cost includes only renewals due in the next 30 days. Accounts Overview can show a partner price for accounts with renewal dates outside that window.
Referred and affiliate accounts are excluded from every dashboard widget and can explain differences between dashboard totals and your own records.
If a widget is empty when data is expected, if a displayed as-of date is significantly older than the normal refresh window, or if two widgets that should reconcile do not, contact Partner Support.
