Use the Branding page to control how the accounts you manage look to your clients. You can set the account name, logos, and favicon, add content to the top or bottom of emails, and customize templates and styles.
This feature is available to all partners with access to the Partner Portal. You need the Admin role to open the Branding page.
Open the Branding page
You can open Branding in two ways:
For all your accounts: go to Accounts → Branding.
For one client account: go to Accounts → Overview, open the Login menu in that account's row, and select Branding.
The page has three tabs:
General: account name, logos, favicon, and the Hide product links option.
Email content: content that is always included at the top or bottom of emails sent from the account.
Templates & Styles: template and CSS customization for the admin and public sides of the platform.
General tab
Account name
Enter the name you want to use for the account. It is used as the application title and in some default and notification emails.
Logos and favicon
Enter an image URL for each of these fields:
Full logo: shown on the login page. The Preview – Login Page shows how it will look.
Small logo: shown in the navigation bar. The Preview – Navbar shows how it will look.
Favicon: shown in the browser tab. A small preview appears next to the field.
The Branding page does not support image upload. Host your images on your own site or storage and paste the image URL into the field.
Image requirements:
Field | Formats | Minimum size | Recommended ratio |
|---|---|---|---|
Full logo | JPG, PNG, SVG | 400×50 px | 8:1 (horizontal banner) |
Small logo | JPG, PNG, SVG | 128×128 px | 1:1 (square) |
Favicon | JPG, PNG, SVG | n/a | n/a |
There is no fixed file size or dimension limit, because ActiveCampaign handles sizing. Keep files small and optimized for logo use. As a guide, aim for under 500 kB.
Hide product links
Turn on Hide product links to hide links to external ActiveCampaign pages in the accounts you create.
Email content tab
Use this tab to add content that is always included at the top (header) or bottom (footer) of emails sent from the account. Content is set separately for each location and message type:
Email header → Text messages
Email header → HTML messages
Email footer → Text messages
Email footer → HTML messages
Each entry has its own toggle. Turn on the toggle for the entries you want to use, then enter your content in the editor that appears. Header and footer content is non-removable for the message type you set it for.
Templates & Styles tab
Use this tab to customize the layout and appearance of both the admin side and the public side of the platform. It has four areas:
Admin → Customize Admin Section Template
Admin → Customize Admin Section CSS Styles
Public → Customize Public Section Template
Public → Customize Public Section CSS Styles
In these areas you can change the layout, override CSS classes with your own styles, and edit the HTML template.
Template editors include Insert tag and Reset to default.
CSS editors include Clear all custom CSS styles.
CSS you add overrides existing styles.
This tab is intended for users who are comfortable editing HTML and CSS.
Tip: Use unique id and class names, for example with a prefix based on your company name. Generic names can affect how other parts of the application are displayed.
Save your changes
Apply branding to all your accounts
Go to Accounts → Branding.
Open the General, Email content, or Templates & Styles tab.
Enter or update your settings.
Select Update.
In the Do you want to update branding? window, choose where the changes apply:
Leave Apply updates to future and existing accounts cleared to apply the changes only to accounts created in the future.
Select Apply updates to future and existing accounts to apply the changes to both existing and future accounts.
Select Yes, update to save, or No, cancel to leave without applying the changes.
You choose the scope each time you save. It is not a separate setting or profile.
Apply branding to one client account
Go to Accounts → Overview.
Find the client account in the table.
Open the Login menu in that account's row and select Branding.
Update the settings. This page has the same three tabs and options as the main Branding page.
Select Update.
Select Yes, update to save, or No, cancel to leave without applying the changes.
Changes made this way apply only to the selected account. The confirmation window does not include the option to update future or existing accounts.
After you save
Update always opens a confirmation window. Nothing is saved until you select Yes, update.
No, cancel, or the close button in the window, closes it without applying your changes.
It can take up to a few minutes for changes to appear in all places.
Troubleshooting
I can't upload a logo
The Branding page does not support image upload. Host the image yourself and enter its URL in the Full logo, Small logo, or Favicon field. The image must be JPG, PNG, or SVG.
The logo preview doesn't appear or looks wrong
Check that the URL is correct and points directly to the image.
Check that the image is a JPG, PNG, or SVG file.
Check that you used the right field: Full logo for the login page, Small logo for the navigation bar, Favicon for the browser tab.
Check the matching preview: Login Page, Navbar, or the favicon preview.
If the URL and format are correct but the preview still does not appear, contact Support. Include the account, the field, the image URL, and the browser you use.
My changes didn't update existing accounts
On the main Branding page, select Apply updates to future and existing accounts before you select Yes, update. If you leave it cleared, the changes apply only to accounts created in the future. The single-account Branding page always applies to that account only.
I can't find Branding for a client account
Go to Accounts → Overview, find the account, and open the Login menu in its row. The option is named Branding. You need the Admin role to see it.
A template or CSS change broke the layout
Open the Admin or Public editor you changed. Use Reset to default to restore a template, or Clear all custom CSS styles to remove custom CSS. Custom CSS overrides existing styles, so check for rules that are broader than intended. If the issue continues, contact Support.
Limitations
Image upload is not supported. Logos and favicon are added as URLs.
Supported image formats are JPG, PNG, and SVG.
On the main Branding page, you must choose whether changes apply to future accounts only or to future and existing accounts.
The single-account Branding page cannot apply changes to all accounts.
