How to create a task for a deal

Available on Plus, Professional, and Enterprise plans.

Tasks are to-do items that you can create for your deals. In this article, we'll show you how to create a deal task.

Create a task for your deal

  1. Click "Deals" on the left menu and open the deal for which you want to create a task.
  2. The Deal Details page will open. Click "Add a Task" in the Tasks widget.
  3. A modal will appear. Complete the following fields:
    • Title
    • Task Type
    • Assigned to. Note that deal tasks can be assigned to an account user who has permission to view the pipeline only. If you do not assign the task, we will do it for you automatically
    • Due Date
    • Due  Time
  4. Optional: Click "Show more options" to send a reminder(s) or trigger an automation. 
  5. Optional: Type a short description of the task. Providing a description can give your teammates more context regarding the task. 
  6. Click the "Add Task" button.

The task will be saved and will be listed on the details page for your deal.
