How do I add and remove contact tags during a conversation?

Conversations is available on all plans levels and can be purchased as an add-on to your account.

When you or an agent opens a conversation with a known visitor (a visitor who has a contact profile record in your ActiveCampaign account), you'll have the option to add or remove tags for that contact. Any updates made to tags will appear on the contact's profile record.

How to add and remove contact tags

 Only Agents (i.e. someone who has been assigned a Conversations seat) are able to add and remove contact tags. If a user has the "View Only" role permission, they will not be able to add or remove a tag within the Conversations inbox.

1. Click the "Add a Tag" option in the Tags widget. 


2. A modal window will open. Type the tag into the field provided.

3. Click the "Add" button.


4. To remove a tag, click the "X" located next to the tag.
