Data syncs are set up and controlled in your Microsoft Dynamics account under the "Sync Settings" tab.

In this article, you'll learn what data is synced through the integration and how the sync settings work.

Data synced from ActiveCampaign to Microsoft Dynamics 365

The following items are synced to Microsoft Dynamics:

New leads

New leads are added to Microsoft Dynamics from ActiveCampaign through the "Create a lead in Microsoft Dynamics" automation action.

Here is a breakdown of what happens when a contact reaches that step:

  • Contacts will receive the following tags on their profile page in ActiveCampaign: [D365: Lead] [D365: Pulled from ActiveCampaign]
  • We will queue them to sync to your Microsoft Dynamics account as a lead
  • When the next scheduled sync runs, they will be added to Microsoft Dynamics as a new lead

About sync settings

Sync settings and job frequency are under the "Sync Settings" tab of the integration setup.

You will find three sync types: Global, Initial, and Job Schedule.

MSD

Global Sync

This is turned on by default. When on, the one-time "Initial Sync" will run.

To pause data from syncing to ActiveCampaign, click the toggle to set it to the "Off" position.

Data cannot sync from Microsoft Dynamics to ActiveCampaign if this setting is turned off.

Initial Sync

You can think of the initial sync as historical sync. This one-time sync runs when the "Global Sync" toggle is set to "On." All contacts or leads who meet your criteria under "Data Configuration" will be synced from Microsoft Dynamics to ActiveCampaign.

Job Schedule

This is where you configure recurring syncs between Microsoft Dynamics and ActiveCampaign.

To do so, click the "Job Frequency" dropdown, then click the schedule option that works best for you. You can choose from the following frequency options:

  • 1 hour
  • 2 hours
  • 4 hours
  • 6 hours
  • 8 hours
  • 12 hours
  • Once daily

It is not possible to force immediate syncs with this integration. Leads and contacts will sync between platforms when the next scheduled sync runs.
