Log into your ActiveCampaign account with multi-factor authentication

When multi-factor authentication (MFA) is turned on for your account login, you will need to use two methods of identification to access your ActiveCampaign account.

How to access your ActiveCampaign account after an admin turns on MFA for your login

If your account admin has enforced MFA for your login, you will need to provide a few pieces of information in order to gain access to your account. This includes your username, password, and a verification code.  

1. Go to the login page for your ActiveCampaign account and type your email address and password into the fields provided. Then click the "Login" button.

2. On the next screen, you'll be prompted to choose how you want to receive a code – through an authentication app (such as Authy or Google Authenticator)or through SMS. Click the option you wish to use.

3. Enter your verification code into the fields provided:

  • Authentication app: If you select this method, we'll present you with a QR code on your screen. Open the authentication app on your mobile device and scan the QR code. The authentication app will generate a six-digit verification code. Type this code into the field provided. You only need to scan the QR code once.
  • SMS Text message: If you select this method, click the country code dropdown then click your country code. Next, type your phone number into the field provided. A six-digit verification code will be sent to you via text message. Type the verification code into the field on your screen.

4. Click the "Verify" button.

You will be logged into your account where you can manage various features.

Every time you access your account with multi-factor authentication enabled, you will need to provide a verification code during the login process.

How to access your ActiveCampaign account after turning on MFA  for your own login

If you have already selected either SMS or authentication app when setting up MFA for your account, you'll need to use that method to gain access to your account.  

1. Go to the login page for your ActiveCampaign account and type your email address and password into the fields provided. Then click the "Login" button.

2. On the next screen, you'll be prompted to enter a six-digit verification code. Open the authentication app or the SMS message on your mobile device to look up the code.

3. Type the verification code into the field provided on the login screen.

4. Click the "Verify" button.

You will be logged into your account where you can manage various features.

If you do not have your mobile device handy, you can click "Use Recovery Code" and type a recovery code that was provided to you when you first enabled multi-factor authentication for your account.
