Typically, any server that is exposed to the internet should be capable of receiving webhooks. An app on the server must first be written to receive and interpret the data via an endpoint. This does require some development experience but is a relatively simple task for someone familiar with development.

A webhook is essentially just a POST sent to a specified location (an endpoint).

You can send sample data from your ActiveCampaign to the Endpoint or URL specified in the webhook to make sure it is working.

To test an existing webhook, follow these steps:

  1. Click "Settings" on the left menu.
  2. Click "Developer."
  3. Click the "Manage Webhooks" button.
  4. Click "Edit" next to the webhook you are testing.
  5. Click the "Send Sample Data" button at the bottom of the page.
