When filtering contacts in the Contact overview page with the dropdowns, Tag, List, or Status, contact numbers are not matching up.
This happens when there is overlap between the different statuses. Contacts can appear in multiple statuses if they have different statuses in each list.
How to test to determine if the issue is overlap:
- On Contact overview page, filter by both List > All and Status > Active
- Bulk tag the filtered contacts with a unique tag
- Run an advanced search for Tag > does not exist > 'name of your unique tag'
- If the total for this search combined with the total for the filtered active contacts search matches the total number of contacts, it is because of overlap.
