You can trigger your automation to run when a contact opens, replies to, or clicks a link in your one-to-one email.
"Opens/Reads an email" trigger
When you select this trigger, you have the option to choose "1:1 email" as seen here:
Once selected, you can click the "Select email" dropdown to choose any one-to-one email or select a specific one-to-one email.
- “Any” one-to-one email includes direct one-to-one emails sent from the Contacts overview page, a contact record, a deal record, and automated one-to-one emails
- Emails listed by email name are automated one-to-one emails sent through the "Send a 1:1 email" automation action
When you’re done configuring the trigger, click the “Add Start” button.
This trigger will trigger an automation only the first time the selected email is opened. This means if the contact opens the email a second time, the automation will not trigger (even if Runs “Multiple” is selected). It also means if a second recipient (the a CC’d or BCC’d recipient) opens the email, the automation will not re-trigger.
