How to attach Files to a Deal

Available on Plus, Professional, and Enterprise plans.

With ActiveCampaign, you can attach files directly to a Deal within our CRM. You may want to attach files like a contract, proposal, pricing sheet, or even images as part of your sales process. This allows you to have everything for the Deal in one place.

Take note

  • File storage limits are based on your plan tier:
    • Plus - 1GB
    • Professional - 5 GB
    • Enterprise - 10 GB
    • Trial - 250 MB
  • File size limit for each upload is 75 MB per file
  • File types currently supported: pdf, doc/docx, xls/xlsx, pptx, csv, tif, tiff, txt, jpg/jpeg, png, gif, svg
  • Users with permission to view deals can attach files, rename files, and download files. Only admins or users with “Delete Deals” permissions can delete files
  • This feature is currently only available in Deals

How it works

Once you have created a Deal, you can add files by clicking the “Files” tab at the bottom left of the Deal.


Here you can upload your files two ways:

  1. Drag and drop files from your computer
  2. Click the “Add a file” button to choose files from your computer

  Once you start an upload, it will continue if you leave the page open on another tab or in the background.

When the upload is complete, a modal will appear in the top right to show how much storage is being used. This modal is the only way to see storage amounts at this time.


Uploaded files will be listed on the Deal under the “Files” tab with the File Name, Date Added, File Size, and Updated by information.

To download, rename, or delete the file, click the three dots to the right of the file:
