Once you create a template, you can use it in any direct or automated campaign.
Take note
- Templates created with the Email Designer option can be used with the Email Designer template type only when creating a campaign. It is not possible to use them with the Classic template type
- Templates created with the Classic option are available for the Classic template type only when creating a campaign. It is not possible to use them with the Email Designer template type
- To use AI templates, you must create a brand kit first
- It is not possible to create a campaign directly from a template. Instead, you need to go through the campaign creation process, then select your template
Use a template with a direct campaign
To use a template you created in a direct campaign:
- Click Campaigns on the left menu.
- Click “Create a campaign.”
- Provide a campaign name and select the type of campaign you wish to send. If you choose the "Standard" campaign type, click "Start from scratch or with a template in the email designer." Then click “Next.”
- Click the "Create with email designer" button.
- To view templates you have created, click the “Custom” option in the list on the left. AI templates will be displayed before other template choices on the right. Learn more about AI templates.
- Locate the template you created or the AI template you want to use. Hover over the template and click “Select.”
- Adjust the campaign design as needed, then click "Next."
- Complete the information on the Campaign Summary page to send your campaign.
Use a template with an automated campaign
To use a template you created in an automated campaign:
- Click Automations on the left menu.
- Edit an existing automation or click the "Create an automation" button.
- Click the "+" node where you want your email.
- Under “Sending,” click the “Send an email” action.
- In the "Send an email" modal, click “Create a new email.”
- Locate the template you created in the "Custom" section at the bottom of the modal. Hover over it and click “Select.”

Fill in and review the following required fields for your email:
- Email name
- Subject line
- From email
- Tracking
- Send
- Click "Save."
