Features and tools included in the navigation bars depend on your plan level and the integrations you set up in your account.
ActiveCampaign homepage with Active Intelligence
The ActiveCampaign homepage is where you start when you log in to your account. You can use Active Intelligence prompt bar, personalized cards, and recent chats. Click the ActiveCampaign logo to return to the homepage from other pages.
You can also click Active Intelligence icon option from any other page in ActiveCampaign. It will open the Active Intelligence sidebar, allowing you to continue working with Active Intelligence from anywhere on the platform.

Marketing and Ecommerce (Legacy) dashboards
- Marketing dashboard - For accounts created on or before July 23, 2025, to switch between the ActiveCampaign homepage with Active Intelligence and the Marketing Dashboard experiences, click Settings > Account > “Account Information” > “New homepage” toggle
- Ecommerce Dashboard - This dashboard has moved to Reports > Ecommerce dashboard
- For accounts created after July 23, 2025, the ActiveCampaign homepage will be your default and only option
Navigation bars
After you click into any of the options on the left menu, your ActiveCampaign account will have two navigation bars: the main navigation bar and a secondary navigation bar. Depending on which category you pick in the main navigation, the secondary bar will expand and show you all features you can use within that category.
Note that the secondary bar is collapsible. When you click an item from the main navigation, you may not see the secondary navigation bar right away. This is because it is in a collapsed state.
To expand the secondary menu for that section, click the show panel logo to the right of the ActiveCampaign logo at the top right of your window.
Business Goals
Clicking this option from the main navigation bar brings you to the Business Goals Overview page. This page displays all of the Business Goals in your account along with ways to manage them. The side navigation for Business Goals contains the following:

Contacts
Clicking this option from the main navigation bar brings you to the Contacts Overview page. This page displays all contacts in your account. From this page you can:

- Add a single contact
- Bulk edit contacts
- Sort and filter contacts
- Search for contacts
- Create an advanced search or segment
- Send a 1:1 email to a contact
- Access contact records
- Add a deal, task for the contact
- Add a note for the contact
- Archive contact

Campaigns
Please note that what you see in your account may differ from some of the steps outlined in this article. The "Campaigns" section in your ActiveCampaign account has been updated to say "Email."
Clicking this option from the main navigation brings you to the Campaigns Overview page. This page displays all direct campaigns you’ve created in your account. A direct campaign is an email you send to a list of opted-in contacts.
The secondary navigation for Campaigns contains the following:

Clicking this option from the main navigation brings you to the Automations Overview page. This page displays all automations you created in your account.
From this page, you can:
- Create a new automation
- Filter and sort automations
- View automation stats
- Bulk update automations (tags and status)
- View contacts in an automation
- Share an automation
- Copy and automation
- View or adjust automation permissions (this depends on what user group you are associated with).
The secondary navigation bar for Automations contains the following:

Deals
Clicking this option from the main navigation brings you to the Deals Overview page. This page displays a pipeline along with its associated stages and deals that you can manage.
From this page, you can:
- View deals by pipeline
- View deal options
- Copy, delete, or export a pipeline
- Add a stage
- Import deals
- Add a single deal
- Filter and sort deals
- Search for a deal in the selected pipeline
- Change your deal view
- View tasks.

Your profile
On the top right of your account, you’ll see your profile, which shows your login name and/or image. Clicking this item on the main navigation bar opens a modal window. From here you can:
- View your plan level
- View your Contact limit

- Use this page to set up a connection between your third-party service and ActiveCampaign. Examples include Google Sheets, Calendly, Typeform, Stripe, Slack, and more.
