- Features and tools included in the navigation bars depend on your plan level and the integrations you set up in your account
- Marketing and Ecommerce (Legacy) dashboards:
- Marketing dashboard - For accounts created on or before July 23, 2025, to switch between the ActiveCampaign homepage with Active Intelligence and the Marketing Dashboard experiences, click Settings > Account > “Account Information” > “New homepage” toggle
- Ecommerce Dashboard - This dashboard has moved to Reports > Ecommerce dashboard
- For accounts created after July 23, 2025, the ActiveCampaign homepage will be your default and only option
ActiveCampaign homepage with Active Intelligence
The ActiveCampaign homepage is where you start when you log in to your account. You can use the Active Intelligence prompt bar, personalized cards, and recent chats. Click the ActiveCampaign logo to return to the homepage from other pages.
You can also click the Active Intelligence icon from any other page in your ActiveCampaign account. It will open the Active Intelligence sidebar, allowing you to continue working with Active Intelligence from anywhere on the platform.

Smart Start Guide
Trial accounts only.
The Smart Start Guide appears on your Active Intelligence homepage when you start a trial account. It gives you a clear path to set up your account quickly by walking you through three tasks. Each task uses Active Intelligence to help you build and create brand kits, email campaigns, and automations, no prior experience needed.

Navigation bars
You can access most features from the main navigation bar on the left side of your account. Clicking any icon in the bar opens the overview page for that part of the platform. Each part of the platform has its own side panel navigation; this is called the secondary navigation bar or side navigation panel.
You can expand and collapse the secondary navigation bar by clicking the "Show/Hide" panel icon located at the top right of your account.
Business Goals
Clicking the "Business Goals" option in the main navigation bar opens the Business Goals Overview page. This page displays business goals in your account along with ways to manage them.
You can use the side navigation panel to access the following pages in your account:

Contacts
Clicking the "Contacts" option from the main navigation bar brings you to the Contacts Overview page. This page displays all contacts in your account. From this page you can take the following actions:
- Click the ellipsis on the top right of your screen to export or view all archived contacts
- Manually import contacts from a CSV file
- Add a single contact
- Bulk edit contacts
- Sort and filter contacts
- Search for contacts
- Create an advanced search or segment
- Send a 1:1 email to a contact
- Access contact records
- Add a deal or task for the contact
- Add a note for the contact
- Archive contact

- Click any automation to view and edit the automation

- Filter and sort your email campaigns
- Search for an email campaign

- View/edit the email campaign summary page
- View/edit the email campaign design

- Rename the email campaign
- Duplicate the email campaign

SMS
Appears if you have the SMS add-on.
Clicking the "SMS" option in the main navigation brings you to the SMS Overview page. This page displays all SMS campaigns you’ve created in your account. From this page you can take the following actions:
- Create a new SMS campaign
- Register a phone number to send an SMS campaign (required - appears if you have not yet registered a phone number for sending SMS messages)
You can use the side navigation panel to access the following pages in your account:
- Campaigns (SMS Campaigns Overview page)

Inbox
Appears if you have the SMS add-on.
Clicking this option brings you to the shared SMS inbox. From this page you can take the following actions:
- Register a phone number so you can reply to SMS messages from customers (required - appears if you have not yet registered a phone number for sending SMS messages)
- Create an SMS campaign
- View and reply to incoming SMS messages
- Search the inbox for past conversations
- Click the “Inbox Settings” button to enable AI drafted replies and generate conversation summaries
You need to purchase WhatsApp Messaging to use this feature.
Clicking this option brings you to the WhatsApp Messaging Dashboard. From this page you can take the following actions:
- Connect your phone number to WhatsApp
- Test drive WhatsApp Messaging through ActiveCampaign

- Use the dropdown fields to sort form by type, action, label, or business goal

Reports
Clicking the "Reports" option from the main navigation brings you to the Reports Overview page. This page displays the “All Campaigns Performance” report by default. From this page you can take the following actions:
- Filter results by type, label, and lists
- Exclude unverified opens
- Search for an email campaign by name
- Set a date range
- View metrics such as number of campaigns, number of emails sent, open rate, click rate, click-to-open rate, bounces, unsubscribes, and revenue
- View a table of each campaign with its metrics
- Click a campaign in the table to view its report

Your profile
On the top right of your account, you’ll see your profile, which shows your login name and/or image. Clicking this item on the main navigation bar opens a modal window. From here you can:
- View your plan level
- View your Contact limit
- View Apps
- Use this page to set up a connection between your third-party service and ActiveCampaign. Examples include Google Sheets, Calendly, Typeform, Stripe, Slack, and more.

Clicking the side navigation displays third-party apps by group. You can also view:
- Your connected apps
- All Apps
- App studio
- Popular apps
- Newest apps
- View and update your billing information
- Upgrade your account
- View your open support tickets
- Refer Friends
- This option lets you use a unique referral link that you can share with your colleagues and friends. If that individual becomes a paying customer of ActiveCampaign, you can receive a reward
