Classic Designer: Campaign width has increased after it is sent

If your campaign width has increased or is no longer lining up with the rest of the campaign upon send, there are a few troubleshooting steps you can take to help fix this issue:

  • Text is too long
Use hyperlinks for long text like a website URL or email address. Break up other long text into smaller
  • Heading or text in general is too large
Decrease the font size for large text sizes.
  • Using an inline image in a text block
Instead of putting an image in a text block, we recommend using an image block and a text block separately.
  • Gmail is “clipping” the email
If the email size exceeds 102kb, Gmail will likely “clip” the email and cause width distortion. To learn more, visit Why is Gmail "clipping" my email?
  • Custom HTML
The custom HTML code in your email may interfere with the width upon sending. Please review the code. The ActiveCampaign Customer Experience Team cannot help you implement or troubleshoot any custom code. If you need assistance with this troubleshooting step, we recommend working with your developer or an ActiveCampaign Certified Consultant.

We also recommend testing your email before sending it to your list. You can run an Email Client Preview test from the Campaign Summary page or send a test version of your message to an email address to see if the campaign width appears correctly.

If you still have more questions about why your automation is not running as intended, contact our Customer Experience Team, and we'll be happy to help you.
