Engagement Management tool

The Engagement Management tool cleans your list(s) by removing unengaged contacts. Unengaged contacts are subscribers who have been sent campaigns and/or automation emails but have not engaged (opened, clicked, etc) with them. We recommend using this tool regularly to keep your lists healthy as this will result in improved open rates over time and will reduce spam complaints, bounces, and unsubscribes.

With Engagement Management, you can remove all contacts that have not engaged with your emails ever, or you can remove contacts that have not engaged with your emails within a specific time period. This feature does not look at the date that the contact was created or subscribed—it looks at the most recent date that the contact engaged with a message.

NOTE: This tool will not show you how many contacts will be removed or which contacts will be removed. If an unengaged contact only appears on the list you choose, they will be deleted from your account. If an unengaged contact exists on multiple lists, in addition to the one you choose, they will be unsubscribed from all lists. This action cannot be undone and we recommend exporting all contacts as a backup prior to using this tool.
