This feature is currently only available to new trials and accounts created on or after December 20, 2024.
The Individual Campaign Performance Report provides data on the performance of each campaign. This report gives you an at-a-glance picture of your campaign that you can click into for further data analysis and exploration.
With this report, you will be able to:
- View overall performance metrics for sent campaigns. This includes:
- Amount of ecommerce revenue generated (requires a connection with a Deep Data integration)
- Number of sends, opens, clicks, unsubscribes, and bounces
- Open rates, click-to-open rates, click rates, unsubscribe rates, forward rates, and bounce rates
- Export the data into a PDF file or share via a generated link
Take note
- Only users assigned to the Admin group in an account can access this report. Learn more about user permissions
- Data for the Individual Campaign Performance Report refreshes every minute by default. However, if a campaign was last sent more than 30 days ago, the report will no longer refresh automatically and will be toggled off. You can toggle this on or off in the upper right corner
How to access the Individual Campaign Performance Report
There are two ways to access the Individual Campaign Report:
- The first way is to click Campaigns > "All Campaigns Performance" > “Report” button to the right of the campaign
- The second way is to click Reports > "All Campaigns Performance" > “Report” button to the right of the campaign
Information included in the Individual Campaign Report
The Individual Campaign Performance Report will include the following information for your campaign at the top of the report:

From | “From Name” of the sent campaign. You can hover over the name to see the “From Email.” |
Subject | Subject of the sent campaign. |
Date | Date and time when the campaign was sent. |
Lists |
List(s) to which the campaign was sent. If there is more than one list, you can hover over the field to the right of the list to show all lists. Coming soon - Segments: Know what segment conditions your campaign was sent to. Currently, you can find segment conditions by clicking Campaigns on the left menu and then clicking the Campaign Name of any sent campaign to open the details modal. |
Type | Type of campaign that was sent. |
Individual Campaign Performance Metrics
The Individual Campaign Performance Metrics displays key campaign metrics based on the specific campaign. You can click on each metric to drill down into the data.
The metrics include:
Metric | Definition |
Emails sent | Total number of campaigns sent based on the selected filters. |
Open rate | Number of unique opens divided by Emails sent based on the selected filters. |
Click rate | Unique number of contacts who have clicked any link in a campaign divided by Email sent based on the selected filters. |
Click-to-open | Unique number of contacts who have clicked any link in a campaign divided by the unique number of opens based on the selected filters. |
Bounces | The number of contacts who bounced based on the selected filters. This only includes hard and soft bounces at this time. |
Unsubscribes | The number of contacts who unsubscribed based on the selected filters. |
Revenue | Amount of ecommerce revenue generated (requires a connection with a Deep Data integration) |
“Compare to”
The “Compare to” option at the bottom of the metrics allows you to quickly view your metrics compared to:
- Account last 30-day average
- Campaign Type Average
How to filter Apple Mail Privacy Protection (MPP) opens
You can decide to include (or not include) MPP opens in campaign reporting with an "Apple Privacy" filter.
- Click the MPP Filter button at the top right next to the “View email” button in the Individual Campaign Report.
- Click the “Mail Privacy Protection (MPP)” dropdown.
- Click “Exclude verified opens” to check (exclude) or uncheck (include) MPP opens.
- If you check (exclude) MPP opens, we will note that “Unverified opens have been filtered out to display your true open rate.” under the metrics.

Engagement chart
The Engagement chart under the metrics displays clicks and open data for your campaign.
Depending on your campaign type, the Engagement chart will display the metrics for:

Non-recurring campaigns
campaigns seven days post-send -
Automated campaigns
campaigns seven days before the last send to capture ongoing engagement
Hover over the data points to see the following by date:
- Clicks
- Opens
Click the “Engagement Report” hyperlink to get more engagement data.
Clicked Links
The Clicked Links chart displays the links within your campaign with the unique and total click data for each link.
Click the “Clicks report” hyperlink to get more click data.
Deliverability
The Deliverability chart displays whether the campaign was delivered or if there were any bounces. You can click on each metric to drill down into the data.

Click the “Bounces report” hyperlink to get more bounce data.
Reactions
The Reactions chart displays contact reactions such as Unsubscribes, Spam complaints, Forwards, and Replies. You can click on each metric to drill down into the data.
Under the metrics, you can find the “Unsubscribe reasons” and the percentage of contacts that unsubscribed and chose that reason to the right.

Geography
The Geography chart displays the country of the contacts with the Open rate and Opens per country. The chart displays information for the Top 5 countries, the top 5 regions within the countries, and then the top 5 cities within the regions.
Click the “Geography report” hyperlink to get geography data by contact.
Email Clients
The Email Clients chart displays the contact’s email clients and the percentage of your contacts that use them. This information can be helpful for campaign open interactions as the email client can be a factor.
Click the “Email clients report” hyperlink to get more email client data.
How to export and share the Individual Campaign Performance Report data
How to export:
- From the Individual Campaign Performance Report, click the “Share” button.
- Click the “Save” button.
- The report will download to your computer as a PDF.
How to share:
- From the Individual Campaign Performance Report, click the “Share” button.
- Click the “Generate public link” button. The public link will be copied to the “Send link by email” Custom message field and your clipboard. This link will be good for seven days.
- From here, you can follow the next steps to send the link by email in ActiveCampaign or paste the link (Control + v) and send it wherever links are allowed.
- In the “Send link by email” section, type in the email addresses, using commas to separate the email addresses you want to send the report link to. At least one valid email is required.
- (Optional) Type a custom message for your recipients. Note that the generated link is automatically copied into the custom message field when you click the “Generate public link” button.
- Click the “Send link” button.
How to view the sent campaign and save a web copy
After a campaign is sent, you may want to see the final campaign or keep the web copy for your records.
- From the Individual Campaign Performance Report, click the “View email” button.
- A new browser window will open with the campaign.
- Copy and paste the URL to your files. The URL is your web copy to save or share.
