Qualified contacts are eligible to have their "ActiveCampaign is Unsubscribed" field updated.

A qualified contact is a contact who synced from ActiveCampaign to Microsoft Dynamics 365 (MSD 365) as a contact or lead, or was synced from MSD 365 to ActiveCampaign as a contact. These contacts have one of the following tags added to their contact records in ActiveCampaign:

  • D365: Lead
  • D365: Contact

How Email Opt-out Works with the ActiveCampaign MSD 365 Integration

The MSD 365 field for email Opt-out is "ActiveCampaign is Unsubscribed."

This is a read-only field that lets you know if a contact or lead has opted into or out of your communications. If you're using the ActiveCampaign Microsoft Dynamics 365 integration, we set this field as "Yes" or "No" in MSD 365 if a qualified contact experiences any of the following events in ActiveCampaign:

  • A contact subscribes to a list in ActiveCampaign
If a contact goes from not having any list subscriptions to having any number of list subscriptions, the "ActiveCampaign is Unsubscribed" field in MSD365 will be marked "No" after the sync runs. This means the contact is now an active email recipient in MSD 365.
  • A contact unsubscribes from your list(s) in ActiveCampaign
If a contact unsubscribed from all lists they subscribe to, the "ActiveCampaign is Unsubscribed" field in MSD 365 is marked "Yes" after the sync runs. This means the contact is no longer an active email recipient in MSD 365.
  • A contact hard bounces after an email is sent from ActiveCampaign
If a contact hard bounces after a campaign or automation email is sent to them, then the "ActiveCampaign is Unsubscribed" field in MSD 365 is marked "Yes" after the sync runs. This means the contact is no longer an active email recipient in MSD 365.
