You can purchase activities with a monthly limit to use AI features in the ActiveCampaign platform.
Take note
- Admins and users with billing permissions can purchase activities and increase the monthly limit
- Activities are not available to purchase with Trial accounts
- Unused activities do not roll over to the next month
- You can increase your monthly limit of activities at any time
- You can purchase up to 500,000 activities per month. Please reach out to our Customer Experience team if you need to purchase more
- If you have a discount on your account, it applies to activities
What is an activity?
An activity is a billable action that a contact takes. For example, if a contact runs through an
automation action that uses activities, one activity is deducted from your monthly limit.

- AI Prompt automation action
- Use AI Translations for Email

How to purchase activities
You can purchase and increase activities from your billing page or any AI feature using activities. Your
current payment method will be charged a prorated amount. Then, you will be charged monthly or
yearly, depending on your billing cycle.
From the Billing page:
- Click your name on the bottom left of your screen.
- Click the "Billing & Upgrade" option in the modal window.
- Under the “Your Plan” tab, click “Edit” where it says “X Activities.”
- A modal window will appear. Use the dropdown to select your activity limit.
- The modal will show you the additional cost you will be charged each month. Click the “Review purchase” button.
- Click “Confirm purchase.”
From the AI feature:
- Go to the AI feature that uses Activities.
- Click the “Purchase Activities” button from the feature that uses activities.
- A modal window will appear. Use the dropdown to select the number of activities you want to purchase.
- The modal will show you the additional cost you will be charged each month. Click the “Review purchase” button.
- Click “Confirm purchase.”
How do I increase my activity limit?
You can increase your activity limit by following the instructions above.
What happens if I exceed my monthly activity limit?
Your contact will skip over the automation action that uses activities. To avoid this, we recommend increasing your monthly limit.
