How local numbers are chosen

SMS messages are sent from automations.

When a contact from any country supported with a local number enters your automation and hits your “Send SMS” action, our SMS provider will select a “From” number that matches your contact’s country. That same number will be used to distribute your message.

For example, if a contact in the United Kingdom enters your SMS automation and encounters your SMS step, a United Kingdom phone number will be used to send the SMS and 5 credits will be deducted from your account.

The “From” phone numbers are chosen by our SMS provider and will vary.

**Taiwan

Due to regulatory changes, sending to recipients in Taiwan will no longer support using full-length or shortened URLs.   Effective June 27th, 2023 all SMS messages to Taiwan that use shortened or full-length URLs will be blocked.  As a result of these changes, all attempted messages with URLs to Taiwan will fail.

How U.S. phone numbers are chosen

SMS messages are sent from automations.

If the contact is not located in a country supported by a local number, a phone number from the United States will be selected and used to distribute your message.

For example, if a contact located in Brazil enters your SMS automation and encounters your SMS step, a U.S. phone number will be used to send the SMS message and 7 credits will be deducted from your account.

The “From” phone numbers are chosen by our SMS provider and will vary.
