Where you'll see Autonomous Insights
Autonomous Insights will appear as insight cards in three locations:
- Active Intelligence homepage - View your featured insight and a collection of your insight cards across the platform. This is also where the Brand Kit-based competitive intelligence, industry intelligence, and brand monitoring insight cards appear
- Email Campaigns Overview page - See cards relevant to your campaign performance
- Automation Overview page - See cards relevant to your automation email performance
- Contacts Overview page - See cards relevant to your contacts' performance
When all insight cards have been viewed, the section collapses into a condensed view.
The cards you see are personalized based on your recent account activity. Active Intelligence evaluates your data each week and updates the cards to show the most relevant insights.

How Autonomous Insights work
Autonomous Insights refresh weekly. When cards change, it means Active Intelligence found different insights that are more relevant to your current data.
Each insight card uses a report-style format designed to surface key information at a glance:
-
Visualization
When applicable, each card will lead with a chart or data visualization showing the key metric being analyzed -
Title
The card title follows a consistent, repeatable format so you know what data is being analyzed week over week -
Timeframe chip
A chip on each card shows the time period of the data being analyzed
To open the full insight in Active Intelligence, click the insight card you’d like to expand. From there, you can review a detailed analysis, see suggested next steps, and follow up using the prompt field.
When you follow up on an insight using the prompt field, you can reference an asset by typing @ to select the specific campaign or automation the insight is about. Learn more about referencing assets in Active Intelligence.

Tuning Insights
Select insight cards let you adjust the parameters that an insight analyzes. This is useful when a default insight does not reflect your account's data, campaign types, or analysis needs.
Not all insight cards support tuning. If an insight does not have the “Tune this” option, it cannot be tuned.
To tune an insight:
- On an eligible insight card, access the "Tune this" option with one of the following options:
- On standard cards, click the "Tune this" button directly on the card
- On compact cards, hover over the three dots button, then select "Tune this"
- In the modal, adjust the available parameters for that insight. Parameters vary by insight type and may include time range, benchmarks, or focus.
- Click "Preview" to see the updated insight results before saving.
- Click "Save" to store your preferences. Once saved, future generations of that insight use your saved tuning preferences.
Automation insights
Not available for Trial or Starter accounts.
Active Intelligence scans your active automations weekly and surfaces the top errors affecting them. The insight highlights the top 10 errors, which automations are contributing the most, a daily error trend, and recommendations to fix them.
(callout box) The Automation insight runs every Sunday at 5 PM EST. If you want to customize this, you can create a Scheduled Task using a similar prompt.
In order for the Automation insights to surface, your account must meet the following criteria:
- Has at least one active automation
- Has at least 100 contact entries in the last seven days
Errors not included
- The following errors are not included in the insight because they are expected behavior:
- Manual skips for waits and goals
- Manual ends for automations
- List subscription failures: contact is already subscribed to a list, or contact was not subscribed to a selected list
- Tag failures: contact already has the tag, or contact does not have the tag
