Gmail may display a warning message when your email is opened.
The warning could look something like this:
This warning will appear if:
- The domain in the "From" email address and "To" email address are the same. For example, if you're including internal team members on a campaign send, those recipients likely use the same domain as your "From" email address (@yourcompany.com). This will not happen if you send a campaign to a plain "@gmail.com" email address; contacts outside of your internal teams should not be affected.
- The "Reply to" email address is different than the "From" email address. For example, if you have Reply Tracking enabled on a campaign, then the "Reply to" email address will be different than your "From" email address.
Unfortunately, this warning is not something that ActiveCampaign can remove or alter for you.
In order to prevent this warning from appearing on future emails, you can do any one of the following:
Turn off reply tracking for your emails.
To do so, go to the Campaign Summary page for your email. You'll see that Reply Tracking is turned on, click the toggle to turn it off.
Use a "From" email address that has a different domain than the "To" email address.
To do so, go to the campaign designer for your email and click the gear icon that appears on the upper right corner. Then type a "From" email address that uses a different domain.

Set up SPF and DKIM authentication.
Setting up SPF and DKIM will help confirm with email providers that the message is actually from you, and not a part of a phishing scam.
