Access the Ecommerce Dashboard

To access the Ecommerce Dashboard, log into your ActiveCampaign account. The first page you'll see is the Marketing Dashboard.

Next, click "Ecommerce" at the top of the Marketing Dashboard.

Ecommerce dashboard tab

The Ecommerce Dashboard will load metrics for your connected ecommerce store.

You can use the filters at the top to view data according to store, currency, and time period.

Information included in the Ecommerce Dashboard

The Ecommerce Dashboard contains the following sections:

  • Recommendations for you
  • Customer journey
  • Ecommerce performance

Recommendations for you

The "Recommendations for you" section offers suggestions on immediate actions you can take in your account. These recommendations help you increase customer intent, awareness, purchase rate, loyalty, and engagement.

Recommendations include:

  • Activate an abandoned cart automation
  • Install site tracking
  • Integrate with Facebook Audience
  • Save a segment of customers who made one purchase
  • Save a segment of customers who made more than one purchase

With each recommendation, you can either click the call-to-action button or click the "Learn how" link.

Clicking the "X" for a recommendation will remove it from the dashboard.

Clicking the chevron at the top of the recommendations lets you scroll through to see each recommended item.

As soon as you complete one of the call to actions, the recommendation will close.

Customer journey

Customer journey activity is the activity taken by contacts in the selected time period. We can only receive and display order data for customers who have an email address in ActiveCampaign and purchased a product in your connected store.

This section displays 4 phases of the customer journey:

  • Awareness - visits to your store
  • Intent - added products to cart
  • Purchase - purchased a product
  • Loyalty - repeated a purchase

Each stage is accompanied by metrics and a graph. Each metric shows where you are along with a benchmark.

Below the graphs are the following metrics:

  • Cart abandonment rate
  • Conversion rate
  • Repeat purchase rate

These metrics also show you where you are along with the industry benchmark.

Ecommerce performance

The "Ecommerce performance" section shows you key metrics, revenue over time, and specific content that contributed to your outcomes.

Key performance metrics

The top of the "Ecommerce performance" section lists three key performance metrics:

  • Total marketing revenue
  • Average open rate
  • Average click rate

These metrics also show you where you are along with the industry benchmark.

"Marketing revenue over time" graph

This graph shows you revenue accrued from campaigns and automation emails.

You can use this graph to see where your marketing efforts earned the most revenue and where they dropped off.

You can also hover over a point in time to view more details such as the total marketing revenue and its breakdown between Campaigns and Automations.

ActiveCampaign content

This table lists content along with the following information:

  • Name (Email name)
  • Marketing Type(Campaign or Automation)
  • Last Sent Date
  • Open rate
  • Click rate
  • Revenue

The information displayed in this table depends on either:

  • The time period you set at the top of the report, or
  • If you clicked a point in time on the "Marketing revenue over time" graph

Ecommerce revenue explained

All revenue tracked in the Ecommerce Dashboard comes from the ActiveCampaign Deep Data integration. This includes BigCommerce, Shopify, Square, and WooCommerce. Revenue from third-party deep data ecommerce integrations is also included.

These metrics include orders synced into your ActiveCampaign account from any connected ecommerce store.

  • For Shopify users: Discounts used in orders attributed to the campaign will be excluded from the revenue amount shown
  • For WooCommerce and BigCommerce users: Discounts will not be excluded from the revenue amount shown

How revenue is calculated

In order to track and display revenue for purchases made in a connected ecommerce store, the following events need to happen:

  • The purchase(s) must be made within 7 days after an automation email or campaign being sent
  • The purchase must be made by a contact who received your email. In addition, they must engage with your email (open and/or click a link) prior to making a purchase
  • The purchase must be made in a connected ecommerce store
