The Deal Forecast report provides an overview of your pipeline status and lets you forecast your business effectively on a daily, weekly, or monthly cycle. This report also allows you to review historical trends on your forecast accuracy based on what deals are still open and which deals have been closed.

This report relies on date information inputted by a deal owner for the Forecasted Close Date field that appears for all deals.

With this report, you will be able to:

  • Set a date range to see metrics within a specific time period
  • Measure forecast accuracy overall or by deal owner
  • Export results to a CSV, TXT, Excel (2007 or later), JSON, HTML, or Markdown file

Information included in the Deal Forecast report

Deal Forecast Stats

The four stats listed at the top of the report display quick, top-level data within the parameters you set and rely on information inputted into the Forecasted Close Date field for your deals.

These four stats include:

  • Total Deal Count
The total number of deals that have either been marked as Won or Lost or are open with a forecasted close date.
  • Forecasted Value
This is the value of all deals with a forecasted close date.
  • Actual Value Marked Won
This is the value of all deals marked as "Won" with a forecasted close date.
  • Forecast accuracy
Shows how accurate your forecasts are overall. For example, if a deal was forecasted to close on January 4, 2020 and was marked as "Won" on January 4, 2020, that would be 100% forecast accuracy. If the deal was marked as "Won" on February 4th instead, then the forecast accuracy would be 0%.

Clicking any of these stats will let you export all deals that relate to that specific metric.

Dynamic TImeframe Chart

The Dynamic Timeframe Chart appears below the Deal Forecast Stats. It will display both the total forecasted values (purple bars) and the actual values marked as won (orange bars), side-by-side, at different time periods.

Hovering your mouse over any bar will display the dynamic timeframe (date-based) as well as the total value for that timeframe.

Clicking any bar will let you export all deals that relate to that specific bar.

Clicking on any number will let you export all deals that relate to that specific value.
