Limits per "Go to" action in automation

Creating a loop in an automation with “Go to” actions can allow you to bring contacts back to a step or branch that they did not meet previously. This is very helpful in checking if that contact meets the step or branch at a later time but there are limits as to how many times a contact can go through a “Go to” action.

An automation will only allow a loop to take place 3 times before the automation is ended if the loop does not have any “Wait” actions.

If you place a “Wait” action in the loop, the automation will limit the amount of times a contact will be processed by a "Go To" block to 10 times in a time frame of 24 hours.

For example, if you have a contact going through the same "Go To" block 10 times from 2:00pm to 10:00pm, that means the contact will not be processed again by that block if it passed through it before 10:00pm the next day.

The 11th time that a contact passes through a specific “Go To” block within that 24 hour window, the automation will end and the block will show the following message: "This 'Go to’ block exceeded the limit per day for this contact."
