The “Webhook” action in an automation is located under “Workflow” in the "Add an action" modal window.
Add the "Webhook" action to your automation
- Click Automations on the left menu, then click "Edit" for the automation you want to edit.
- Click the node (+) where you would like to place the webhook in your automation.
- In the “Add an action” modal, click “Workflow” then click “Webhook.”
- Enter the URL to post to
- Click “Save”
The contact information that is sent to your URL from a webhook automation action includes:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Email address
- Custom fields
- Tags
- Account
- Phone number
- Contact ID
- IP address
- Series ID (Automation ID)
Add Account and Deal data to webhooks
To send additional data for Accounts or Deals, you can manually add the personalization tags to the webhook URL as a query parameter.
For example:
www.example.com/?dealfield1=%DEAL_FIELD%&accountfield1=%ACCOUNT_FIELD%
The personalization will populate with the account details if they exist.
For deals, the triggering object is used if it exists. Otherwise, we fall back on the most recently created record for the contact.
