Why do I see a red error message asking for a physical mailing address?

If you wish to send an automation email to contacts, or a test version of the email to yourself, you may see two warnings in two different places (Campaign Summary page and Automation Builder) letting you know that you need to provide a physical mailing address on your email. Both warnings provide buttons to click that will redirect you to the Settings>Address page where you can add this information. All outgoing emails are required by law to include a physical mailing address. If this information is not added, then emails will remain in draft mode and will not send.

How to add a physical mailing address

You only need to add a physical mailing address to your account once. Once you do, it will be used on all outgoing campaigns and automation emails.

  1. Click "Settings" located on the left side menu.
  2. Click Addresses on the left side of your screen.
  3. Click “Add Address” to add your physical mailing address.
