Why do I see an error message asking for a physical mailing address?


If you wish to send an automation email to contacts, or a test email to yourself, you may see the following two warnings on the Campaign Summary page and Automation Builder, respectively:

When you see this warning, it means you need to add your physical mailing address to your ActiveCampaign account. All outgoing emails are required by law to include a physical mailing address. If this information is not added, then emails will remain in draft mode and will not send. 

To resolve this:

  1. Click Settings > Addresses on the left menu.
  2. Click the "Add Address" option.
  3. A modal window will appear. Provide your physical mailing address in the spaces provided. 
  4. Click the "Add address" button

Alternatively, you can click the buttons that appear in the warnings. Doing so redirects you to the Settings > Address page where you can add your address information.
