Why do I see an error message asking for a physical mailing address?

If you wish to send an automation email to contacts, or a test email to yourself, you may see the following warning on the Campaign Summary page:

When you see this warning, it means you need to add your physical mailing address to your ActiveCampaign account. All outgoing emails are required by law to include a physical mailing address. If this information is not added, then emails will remain in draft mode and will not send. 

Remove the physical mailing address error

There are two ways to remove the physical mailing address error:

Option 1: Add an address from Settings

  1. Click Settings > Addresses on the left menu.
  2. Click the "Add Address" button.
  3. A modal window will appear. Provide your physical mailing address in the spaces provided. 
  4. Click the "Add address" button

Option 2: Add an address from the Campaign Summary Page

  1. From the Campaign Summary page of your email, click the "Address" dropdown.
  2. Click "Add new address."
  3. A modal window will appear. Provide your physical mailing address in the spaces provided. 
  4. Click "Save."
